July 6, 200619 yr Garland was phenominal, great job by matt and every once in a while I guess Bobby has to make us nervous. That being said, as usual he gets the job done.
July 6, 200619 yr Following a game on gameday from a hotel in Beijing? Nice. Following a White Sox Winner? even better.
July 6, 200619 yr Bobby left me shaking there for a while in the 9th. I guess I have to expect that from him now and then. We got the win and kept pace with the Tigers.
July 6, 200619 yr Awesome and very encouraging game from Garland. We need at least one other guy to step up and then live with some of the incosistency from the other two. If it's Garland, then all the better as he's our youngest starter. One thing that Hawk and DJ have mentioned is that Jon has struggled with his changeup this season. I think that was still the case today as he left that pitch up and over the plate a lot, but overall it was a very nice start.
July 6, 200619 yr Author KC has a 4-3 lead late on Minny for anyone who cares. EDIT: Make it a 6-3 lead. Minny about to lose 2 of 3 to Kansas s***ty. LOL!! Welcome back to playing the American Leauge. Edited July 6, 200619 yr by NUKE_CLEVELAND
July 6, 200619 yr Way to f***ing dominate, Bobby Jenks. The man recorded 5 outs in PRESSURE SITUATIONS. Technically only 4 outs, but I'm saying 5 because AJP was too scared of a baserunner to catch a ball, failing to record what should have been the first out of the ninth. Welcome back Mr. Garland.
July 6, 200619 yr QUOTE(shoota @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 07:52 PM) Welcome back Mr. Garland. Now stop trying to F***ing leave us!
July 6, 200619 yr Great game from Garland..2 great starts from our starters in a row. Who says we cant pitch? Keep it up boys!!

July 6, 200619 yr Kevin Millar on MLB.com: "The sinker was down pat, sinker after sinker after sinker," added Millar of Garland's mound prowess. "It was like he was throwing bowling balls." Best quote I've seen in a while.
July 6, 200619 yr QUOTE(TLAK @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 10:00 PM) Kevin Millar on MLB.com: "The sinker was down pat, sinker after sinker after sinker," added Millar of Garland's mound prowess. "It was like he was throwing bowling balls." Best quote I've seen in a while. That's a VERY promising thing to hear. We need Jon's sinker to continue to be like that.
July 6, 200619 yr Damn have we gotten spoiled by Jenks or what, it was strange to see a tough save situation. I was really glad to see Garland looking really good again, it makes me feel a whole hell of a lot better to see two awesome starts back to back with he and Contreras
