I'm getting real annoyed with PK rolling over on pitches. With the infield back, that was the one place he couldn't hit it to.

Awful AB by Paulie. I keep thinking we should hammer Wright, but he's 5-5 with a 4.25 ERA coming into the game which would automatically make him our #2 starter at the moment. So he's not that bad, I guess.

That turned into be garbage.

 

It sucks that we went from a golden opportunity to score 3 runs to giving the Yankees all the momentum in the world.

I don't know if its Cora's fault as much as it's Gooch's.

I have absolutely NO confidence in Freddy Garcia to even go 5 innings today without allowing 8+ runs.

Ha....keep sucking Freddy, it's not like we need you to step up or anything.

 

And for anyone that states it doesn't matter how quick someone's fastball is, that was a golden example.

Game over, first series sweep since last year.

 

I love how we have an amazing opprotunity to get Freddy some runs (even though we ALL know we would have needed atleast 10 for it to matter) and we fail.

Our pitching staff is so freaking over-rated right now. They've went all season without performing and therefor they dont' deserve to be mentioned amongst the league's best.

 

Freddy has been better as of late, but he's not excatly been impressive (ERA around 5). Buehrle has been s*** as of late and a low 4's ERA is nothing to brag about. Vazquez has been horrid after a good starter while Garland has made some major progress and Count has been our ace.

 

We have 1 good pitcher at this point and its a shock we are as close to the Tigers as we are. Just look at there rotation and how its produced mixed with a pretty impressive offense. How we are within 4.5 games is beyond me. Thankfully our offense has been ridiculous but I have no problem making a major move that deals one of our underachieving turds for a pitcher thats performing.
