July 18, 200619 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 06:01 AM) Hitting is not the issue, it is the pitching. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
July 18, 200619 yr It looks like hitting is our problem when we MIGHT be able to come back from our 4+ run defecit and something wrong happens and we don't come back, when we shouldn't have the defecit in the first place.
July 18, 200619 yr agreed, and i always noticed the sox hitting closers well we need to get our starting pitching going
July 18, 200619 yr We need to take advantage of Todd Jones anytime we get to face him. And with Joel Zumaya struggling and working on his mechanics, it's a perfect time to face the Tiger bullpen. We need to take advantage.
July 18, 200619 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 01:01 AM) Hitting is not the issue, it is the pitching. b..bu....but Jimmy, Pauly and Dye went like 1 for 12 Sunday!!!
July 18, 200619 yr QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 04:29 AM) Well it seems one day ita pitching the next its hitting When we lose 6-4 and leave what, 20 guys on base or something like that...on the surface it seems like the hitting might be a problem...but then you realize, we still scored 4 runs, and last year, our team would have drooled over that.
July 18, 200619 yr If my memory serves me right, over the past 6 years or so the Sox have always had success against top notch closers.
July 18, 200619 yr If the pitching wasn't so bad, we'd be up 5-3 with Jenks in instead of down 7-5 with the other teams closers in.
July 18, 200619 yr Author QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) If my memory serves me right, over the past 6 years or so the Sox have always had success against top notch closers. July 18, 200619 yr The key stat that is missing is L or BS. Who cares if we score 10 runs if we don't win the game.
