7/28/2006 White Sox v. Orioles

If we lose this game, it's gonna be hard to keep the faith.

Admittedly it's a rough stretch and all, but enough is enough.

We need to beat somebody, anybody.

It's sad to see a guy who led the league in ERA years ago and now...well, doesn't.

Welcome to the joys of pitching at SafeCo with an amazing defense behind you. Jim Parque could have been effective there.

Just got in and saw the bottom of the 6th. Where has the problem been tonight/ Freddy looked OK.

The problem has been Freddy throwing batting practice fastballs and all of his pitches have been very hittable, despite a good past couple of innings.

And, of course, we've gotten almost no timely hitting.

We're dead meat. I am out. Prove me wrong, sox.

Does anyone know anything about the minor league catcher the Sox have, Lucy? I saw him in Spring Training, and he has an unbelievable arm.

Highly touted player when we drafted him out of Stanford. Great athlete, very raw and he supposedly calls a great game. The pitchers we've interviewed at FutureSox have all raved about Lucy's game calling ability and well defensive prowess.

OFfensively he's still building his game and he had some troubles early in his minor league career but he's done better as of late. Still he's a few years away from the show, but the upside is definately there as he's a top notch athlete.

You make great points in just about every post you ever produce, but Parque and effective should never be used in the same sentence.

Sure...his only years in baseball when he's been good was pitching in Montreal, and their huge stadium.

Why is Jim arguing? It was right down the middle.

You should know by now that Jim Parque is my standard for "excellence". Hell....Buehrle's been resembling Parque recently.

How? How can you say that? Gload rarely takes a walk, something Paulie can atleast do when he is struggling. Gload is not a very good hitter.

Gload can get an infield hit to save his life.

you know it's bad when thome gets pissed

Leave Jim alone. He was very friendly and a good tipper when I waited on him back in the day.

Come on, JD. Redeem yourself.

Thanks, I'm going to keep my eye on him. I just saw him when they were taking infield and it was one of the most impressive throwing performances I've ever seen.

Cmon Jermaine.

When things were going good, Dye would crank one out right now.

He should be pissed that he didn't hit that ball that was right down main street.

Brian, who's the sad cutie in your avatar?

This has gone from sad, to down right humorous. Only way to cope.

sad

hi ho hi ho its swinging for the fences we go.

disrespecting jermaine leaving tired lefty in.

and the tired lefty wins.

sad.

We sure know how to not capitalize on hangers. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Dye has a hit with RISP since the ASB.

Dye is having a horrible game...
