Dan, great job by your Missou guys tonight. Made Graham Harrell look silly. 5 turnovers by our QB, not going to ever get it done. Missou should win the North with any amount of small breaks.

Yeah they looked very good. The running game did well, Tech had trouble tackling. The passing game wasn't a huge factor though. The defense makes big plays happen, plain and simple. Tech ran them over for a couple quarters, but made enough crucial mistakes that it wasn't close to enough. The Tigers will probably have to win one of the OU (in Columbia)/Neb (in Lincoln) games to win the North I think. 6-2 in conference almost seems likely even with those two losses, but Nebraska might also go 6-2. It will be a good race though and I can't believe this Mizzou team is this good.

I'm off the Dan McCarney bandwagon and am deciding whether to put down stop sticks.

Pretty clear after today that the worst coaches in the country are, in order:

1. John L. Smith

2. Dan McCarney

3. Ron Zook (lost the game today by himself)

Heads, i still want to trade football programs :snow

1. John L. Smith

Can't have this list without the man who is 25-40 at his school, whiling having 15 NFL players on his roster over that 6 year span, still managing to attain a defense that has given up over 400 yards a game during his tenure. Mr. John Bunting has singlehandedly torn apart the UNC football program, yet is still safe with his job until the end of the season. Why? Because basketball is starting soon. :stick

Which is even sadder for me because somehow, someway I have actually grown to love UNC football a little more than even basketball.

It's the cool helmets. :P

I'll get into it more tomorrow, but Dan McCarney lost another game going into halftime.

Oh man, I went out after halftime... What'd I miss?

In the Iowa State game? A botched fake field goal, two ISU touchdowns called back, and Todd Blythe being thrown the ball....

Can someone remind me how you win games by not throwing to one of the conferences top recievers in the first half? If Todd Blythe was a Longhorn, you'd all know his name.

I love that Wolfe has a prime time game on espn right now.

I wish we could see what Wolfe could do against SEC, Big Ten, etc defenses on a weekly basis over his career. Yes, i know they played OSU this year and he had a nice game. I just don't think he has a chance to win the Heisman playing in the MAC, whether that's right or wrong.

He has no chance. He'll be in New York but he won't win it.

Agreed...unless he breaks the rushing record and everyone 'in front' of him has a few mediocre weeks...and losses.

i think even getting to new york would be a huge victory for him, his team, and his conference.

It didn't help Troy Davis.

Offensive line sabotaged Wolfe last night, hence the subpar game. He'll go to New York, but he'd never actually win the Heisman. We were lucky to get a win.

and nice to see him run behind a Big Ten or SEC offensive line.........

His line play this year has been the worst of the 3 years he's been getting carries. What he's done is simply amazing.

so whitesoxfan101...you bash the nfl for being "a giant suckfest" but you pay attention to college football

i dont get it

If you don't get it, that's your problem.

s***, Iowa has a great drive going and Simms fumbles it.

I am about to cry. I can not believe Iowa is about to lose this game.
