Every single offspeed pitch this inning has been up in the zone. Uribe should have made that play...but what else is new for our defense?

We know one thing that is automatic. If Vazquez or Garcia or even Buerhle most of the time now are pitching, and the Sox score in an inning, the opposition will surely score their next AB.

Seriously, the term "mental midget" perfectly encompasses Javier Vazquez. This all started with one simple error. A simple error that put the lead runner on. Not the most difficult thing to overcome.

 

That might be our first runner thrown out at home this year.

As someone else on this site has noted, Vazquez is the momentum killer.

Nothing is even moving anymore. Everything is nice and flat.

The good news it that Vazquez's next start will be against this same Twins team!

As bad as Javy was, really the defense didn't help him much. PK's error and two poor decisions on throws from the outfield contributed to this mess, too.
