Only the 4th GIDP for Thome. That's pretty shocking to me.

Well, he was hitting behind pods and iguchi for a while. Add in the fact that its usually crush-or-K for Thome...

Low and Away to every single one of our hitters. Walker and the boys have a great plan tonight. You pitch like this against any other major league team, and they start to hit the ball back up the middle and to right. We keep pulling, and trying to elevate everything. Nice approach for the 7th best offense in scoring runs in the AL in the 2nd half.

Sheesh. What a pathetic display.

This team is so painful to watch against bad pitchers.

Its beginning to look like a pre-2005 stretch run for the White Sox.

Hey Ozzie....WHERE'S THE FREAKING INTENSITY?

They left the only bottle they had on the plane....its now in Tulsa.....

Corpseball at its finest....

jermaine dye is our entire freakin offense, and everyone else tries to be jermaine dye and hit it 600 feet

How many of those runs have been unearned against the opposition? It seems like we've been the beneficiaries of some terrible defense in the last month.

Where's everyone that says Pods is our catalyst? If that's true, then we should release his ass right now.

I'm just astonished that we have trouble against a fat piece of s*** like Hernandez....

Meanwhile the Twins are still losing....we need to win this god damn game.

I don't get it. Can't the players and coaches see this? Why wouldn't they do something to correct this?

Too bad JD can't bat in 3 or more spots in our lineup, simultaneously.

Is it possible he could hit in every spot in the lineup? we can have Ghost baserunners for him when he gets on base, like in grammar school

I can already read the quotes...

"You just have to tip your cap...blah blah blah"

my god. 4 straight games of pitchers with ABSOLUTELY horrible numbers. And we can't even get like 2 good at bats in a row.

simply amazing.

(1st 2 innings in first drays game exluded)

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

Hawk was saying at the beginning of the game how concerned he is about this series.

Several of us said this in the past few days.

Sheesh. What a pathetic display.

It has been for quite a while now. Oh for that sweep of the Tigers....

put him away.

I was at the game yesterday and there was a guy who looked like Jermaine's double if JD gained about 40 lbs. He was with a little kid. I wonder if it was his brother, I don't know if JD even has one.

Agreed. Kansas City has been a major pain in the ass, and not only to us, but to Minnesota and Boston as well.

I'd be surprised if we swept them..

AJ and Thome were notorious spray hitters who hit a lot of balls to left field. That is until they got to our team. Now its pretty much right field only.

Check out AJs hitting chart at the cell, and look at the amount of putouts by the first baseman. He is the Paul Konerko of catchers in the 2nd half.

I hate when our teams tinker with things that work. AJ hits great in the first half, then suddenly changes to become a power hitter. His average is crap in the 2nd half and the homers he does get are not enough to state the change. AJ hitting to all fields is worth a lot more than the 250 homer hitting catcher.

Is AJP retarded? A 3-2 slider, a pitch that Jose rarely throws for a strike?

yeah baby, woot woot! lead off walk, they NEVER score
