Gamethread: 9/12, Sox v. Angels

Its ridiculous the fans on here sometimes. A Miracle homerun on a pitch that was almost impossible to hit out of the park, and he's "throwing meatballs"

shawn i pick B

me too.

that wasn't a meatball... actually buerhle had a few nice pitches that inning... particularly that curve to vlad.

that home run was a fluke. thats an ichiro type home run. tip your cap and move on.

Actually Rock, I am more upset with the walk with no one on base. If he gives up a single and a jack its a heck of a lot better than our control pitcher giving up free runs because he is pitching away from contact.

Come on, one of the best hitters in the MLB and there is an open base? Why wouldnt you pitch around him?

1 pitch down...6 pitches to go.

Just throw it low and away, and Konerko will be done. the man cannot stop pulling every single pitch. He has one night where he goes the other way, then goes back into pull monkey mode.

Just keep it low and away and he will get himself out.

Wow, yeah, Mark doesnt have "it" he should have known Rivera would close his eyes and hit a miracle homerun.

yes :P

makr buehrle always gives up his runs in the first. calm down he'll shut oout anaheim now.

In the first inning? You are pitching around a guy with nobody on.

Last time I checked, Matt Stairs wasn't up.

I think they will....but Buehrle isn't done giving up homers.

It wasn't a "meatball". It was a low pitch with nothing on it that the hitter golfed out for an easy home run.

If our guys start swinging at every pitch that looked like the one rivera hit, you be b****ing in a hurry...

Yes, Miracle homerun, if you have tivo, go ahead and rewind. Only Vlad hits those pitches with consistency.

Juan Rivera is a notorious low ball hitter. Thankfully he hit that low slider into a DP in the 9th last inning.

no.

Oakland about to blow it...

The minute our guys see Minny go up on top, our guys will really start swinging for the fences.

So let me get this straight, Anderson is not in the lineup because of his bat, however the most worthless 2 bats Pods and Uribe are still in. Why I ask.

not lookin good in Oak, 2 on 0 out for twins

Anyone else believe we're going to see a new CF next year?

Oakland sucks
