Lol even the announcers were like we have no clue how he hit that one out with that swing... some times you guys need to learn to give credit to the hitters. Especially future HoF's.

The book on Frank Thomas at this point in his career. You pound him in, and in, and in. He is an exceptional breaking ball hitter. He is an exceptional mistake hitter.

Yet for whatever reason we go against the grain and try and get him out with one of Javys breaking pitches.

not Vaz's fault, he's pitched a good game. this is frank thomas folks... he tends to do this no matter who the pitcher is

Vazquez hasn't seen an offspeed pitch he won't hang in the 6th inning.

Cotts is warming up? What in the hell is going on in our dugout?

The Mensa candidate running our club is still making decisions on the bullpen.

Seriously, did you even look at the replays of Frank's swing there? He barely got that pitch, and he just muscled it out.

Yes, I saw it. He was fooled by the pitch call, but it was still a meatball enough of a pitch for him to get out with not much behind the swing. Am I the only one that saw a hanging curveball?

Seriously who calls a breaking pitch away on Frank with a man on.

Nice AB PK

you really want vaz to only go fastball changeup? hmmm

I just logged on, but I have to say Thome is not pulling his weight. I'd rather see Gload in there.

You know, with Konerko's numbers against Zito, this wouldn't have been a bad day to give him a day off.

Konerko with another pathetic AB. Nice approach Mr. Pull.

The stats don't lie. He fails almost every time he pitches in the 6th inning.

yeah i know that, but this sixth inning was NOT a failure. thats what you dont understand

Walk number 30K for today.

Miss the 1st few innings?

Meant Thome. Don't know why I typed Dye.

Was in reference to the comparisons between the two that was discussed earlier in the game.

Uribe should really be trying to take the walk here. He shouldnt' even be swinging, as many pitches as Zito has thrown and as wild as he's been.

And as soon as I click post...

Edited by Balta1701

Someone needs to drive a 7 inch spike through the front foot of Uribe, so he can keep it from spinning out and doing his tazmanian devil routine.

GIDP to the pull side. What a f***ing shock. How is this possible.

Atleast our impatient hitters have given Zito an opportunity to win!

Vazquez is at 98 pitches, but he's been up in the zone the past two innings. Ozzie will probably let him start the inning, but I hope MacDougal and Thornton are ready this inning.

I missed the part of baseball instruction where instead of striding towards the pitchers plate, you turn your front foot point it towards third base and step in that direction.

SWING AND A MISS

oh joe buck we cant get enough of you

It wouldn't be a terrible idea to give this to the bullpen starting the inning.
