Notice how the Tigers go from first to third on hits and hustle on the basepaths. That's something the Sox have lacked all season.

 

Next year they have to trade some of those slow middle of the order guys and add some speed and defense. And of course, improve the pitching.

He wasn't the best thing since sliced bread, but he was the starting centerfielder for the World Champion White Sox. He wasn't the best player around, but he did stabilize the outfield which made it a much better defensive outfield than it has been in 2006.

 

And despite his shortcomings, he did bust his ass and left it all on the field every night.

i guarantee the fans of Philly love the way he plays! he has so much pete rose in his demeanor! when he returned to the lineup the entire stadium stood up and cheered him like they no other...he represents...
