March 12, 200719 yr Ya, Fullerton isn't going. I forgot they switched to 32 teams so Fullerton really had no chance after they lost 4 of there last 5 games to piss away the conference championship and everything else that mattered. f***ing bs, no one can tell me Iowa isn't one of the best 99 teams in the country...no one.
March 12, 200719 yr How the f*** do we get a two seed? Whatever, Big Blue is going down in round 2 if things go the way the should.
March 12, 200719 yr QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 11, 2007 -> 09:25 PM) Are you serious. What a bunch of bulls***. Alford sucks as a coach, that's reason enough to leave them out.

Well, 97 make the two tournaments, so maybe they are #98.
March 12, 200719 yr QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 11, 2007 -> 08:15 PM) Is there any way that Iowa can still hang a banner? We'll just have to hang a....finished better in conference play than a few teams that go into the tourney banner
March 12, 200719 yr Michigan shall continue in it's long line of excellence in the not invited tournament. In all seriousness, with all the bubble/20 win teams this year, it'll actually be a watchable NIT for once. Edited March 12, 200719 yr by whitesoxfan101
March 12, 200719 yr QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 11, 2007 -> 10:15 PM) Is there any way that Iowa can still hang a banner? "2006-2007 Snub: NIT" "2006-2007 Participant: Big Ten Conference" "Almost kept Illinois out of NCAA Tournament: 2006-2007" "2006-2007 better seed in Big Ten Tournament than NCAA Participants Illinois, Purdue, and Michigan State" Any of those would go great with last years "Almost beat #14 seed Northwestern State in 1st round: 2005-2006" God I LOVE Steve Alford, I hope he stays at Iowa forever, it'd be so grand.
March 12, 200719 yr QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 01:39 AM) How the f*** do we get a two seed? I'm with you on wondering how FSU didn't get a #1 in the NIT. I mean, Miss St.? Are kidding me? They weren't better than Ole Miss, but got a higher seed in the NIT. How does that happen? Anyway, Andy Kennedy has done a marvelous job in his 1st season at Ole Miss with the talent he had to work with. They were a NCAA Tourney bubble team for awhile towards the end of the season. Look at for them to represent out of the Clemson region. March 12, 200719 yr Nice...my poorly coached, low basketball IQ, underachieving Blue Demons won't even have that first game against hofstra televised...maybe that's a good thing for me in case they don't even decide to show up and play... First time the men play on-campus since 1999, though. Kinda an interesting fact. The rosemont horizon was not available so no worries about the arena looking 2/3 empty for the nit game.
