If as many pitchers underpeform this year as they did last year, then he needs to be fired. It's amazing that he honestly believes that it doesn't matter how his guys throw....as long as the team wins, there should be no complaining about high ERAs.

You could see this type of crappy pitching brewing all Spring Training. What in the world is our strength and conditioning coach doing over the offseason to have so many people with "dead arms"?

 

I don't think it has as much to do with "dead arms" as it has to do with "I can't throw quality strikes or have any control so I have to throw down the heart of the plate and get rocked"-itis.

no, its something reported in inches on each pitch....

Any chance the pitchers are just getting tight between warm-ups. Garland came right from the pen to start after that everyone has had a long break.

I truly have no confidence in this team this year. There is just no way we can consistently handle the Indians offense over the course of the season. I shudder to think about what will happen to Danks against these guys.

Lack of stuff you think? Like we mentioned, Garland is saying the same things to start this year as he did last year at the beginning. I think we all know how well that started.
