Huggins to WVU

Featured Replies

looking like it will happen tomorrow.

haha if true.

Might put Beasley up for the highest bidder. Calipari better clear some cap space ;-).

Beasley will follow him and they will also sign patrick patterson

Huggins is not a good coach. He can recruit, but he can't coach the talent he gets.

Patterson will end up at Florida #1, or Duke #2, nobody else has much of a chance. Kentucky might be a distant 3rd.

Isn't Huggins a West Virginia alum?

Ya.

What an opportunist little b****. I bet K-State is really happy they gave his a second chance now.

bye bye huggieville...stupid ksu

That's a dick move on his part.

Man, this is a crushing blow to K State :crying

The biggest dick in college basketball not named Bob Knight shows why yet again. I bet Beasley ends up at Florida now.

Beasley is talking to NC State, FSU, and USC. However, Kstate said they won't release him from his scholarship.

If K State brings in a legitmate coach and keeps this class there could be a great benefit to them.

Depends on who they bring in, kind of like the guy that was fired from Virginia (Forget his name).

Pete Gillen is a terrible, terrible coach. I'm sure jphat would agree with me on that. I don't know how they could keep all their recruits. Maybe someone like Theus, but everyone knows he'll go to UNLV when Lon goes elsewhere.

everyone knows reggie theus is going back to coaching high school basketball once he can find an awesome girl to play on his team

Don't count on it.

yeah and the recruits are all leaving...they are in horrible shape, due to the fact they also graduated 4 starters or something like that.

I thought the school had to release him if the coach left?

It is common for the school to make the recruit talk to the new coach before releasing them.

I knew that, but I thought the NCAA just made it a rule. I thought I heard it on CBS or ESPN.

They have to make the choice to release them, IIRC. Otherwise they can transfer and sit out the one year. It's not automatic or anything to be released.
