April 5, 200719 yr Might put Beasley up for the highest bidder. Calipari better clear some cap space ;-).
April 5, 200719 yr Huggins is not a good coach. He can recruit, but he can't coach the talent he gets.
April 5, 200719 yr Patterson will end up at Florida #1, or Duke #2, nobody else has much of a chance. Kentucky might be a distant 3rd.
April 5, 200719 yr QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 01:24 PM) Isn't Huggins a West Virginia alum? Ya.
April 5, 200719 yr What an opportunist little b****. I bet K-State is really happy they gave his a second chance now.
April 5, 200719 yr Can't imagine anyone wanting to play for this scum now after he stranded several players who chose KSU just for him. http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/6648384
April 6, 200719 yr The biggest dick in college basketball not named Bob Knight shows why yet again. I bet Beasley ends up at Florida now.
April 6, 200719 yr Beasley is talking to NC State, FSU, and USC. However, Kstate said they won't release him from his scholarship.
April 6, 200719 yr If K State brings in a legitmate coach and keeps this class there could be a great benefit to them. Depends on who they bring in, kind of like the guy that was fired from Virginia (Forget his name).
April 6, 200719 yr QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 02:23 PM) If K State brings in a legitmate coach and keeps this class there could be a great benefit to them. Depends on who they bring in, kind of like the guy that was fired from Virginia (Forget his name). Pete Gillen is a terrible, terrible coach. I'm sure jphat would agree with me on that. I don't know how they could keep all their recruits. Maybe someone like Theus, but everyone knows he'll go to UNLV when Lon goes elsewhere.
April 6, 200719 yr everyone knows reggie theus is going back to coaching high school basketball once he can find an awesome girl to play on his team
April 6, 200719 yr QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 09:23 AM) If K State brings in a legitmate coach and keeps this class there could be a great benefit to them. Depends on who they bring in, kind of like the guy that was fired from Virginia (Forget his name). Don't count on it.
April 6, 200719 yr Author yeah and the recruits are all leaving...they are in horrible shape, due to the fact they also graduated 4 starters or something like that.
April 6, 200719 yr QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 08:34 AM) Beasley is talking to NC State, FSU, and USC. However, Kstate said they won't release him from his scholarship. I thought the school had to release him if the coach left?
April 6, 200719 yr Author QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 12:55 PM) I thought the school had to release him if the coach left? It is common for the school to make the recruit talk to the new coach before releasing them.
April 6, 200719 yr QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 01:01 PM) It is common for the school to make the recruit talk to the new coach before releasing them. I knew that, but I thought the NCAA just made it a rule. I thought I heard it on CBS or ESPN.
April 6, 200719 yr QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 12:55 PM) I thought the school had to release him if the coach left? They have to make the choice to release them, IIRC. Otherwise they can transfer and sit out the one year. It's not automatic or anything to be released.
April 7, 200719 yr http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/...tory?id=2829319 Beasley's staying at KState.
