Uh oh.

Forgot the green.

I'm assuming they'll recall Sweeney...or do they bring Eduardo Perez back?

Sweeney isn't ready to hit at this level. Perez would help, but we'd still have no one vs RHP.

Thome was available to pinch hit on Wed.

No, that's you making stuff up. If he were, he would have.

Missing hangers and leaving men on base....seen this show before.

How was Thome after the ASB vs LHP when his wrist was hurting?

It wasn't as good as his road numbers, during the day, against latino pitchers.

What other choice do they have?

EDIT: Dye's almost ready to be a full-time DH, and you don't pay $10-15 to that type of player, especially when his bat speed is slowing down a little bit (unless you're the Royals and Sweeney is your franchise player).

count no longer throwing between starts. interesting strategy...

damn JD looks slow

I knew something wasn't right with Thome. It'd be nice if Chicago teams could just be straight up concerning injuries.

Anyone else think Garrett Anderson is overrated? He reminds me of an Erstad with a little more power and more durability.

So, why was Cintron the best choice to replace Thome? Off for a week+ and batting .083?

Nice.

Ha, that's not what I was getting at. I meant after the ASB last year, and included that his wrist was bothering him during that time.

Had a few good years, but he got old quickly.

Four or five years ago, he was a very underrated "almost superstar" player. Now he's just an aging outfielder, like Tim Salmon a couple of years ago.

Still, you look at his overall stats over a career and they're pretty darned impressive.

Wow, looking at our bench (Anderson, Ozuna, Molina), I've decided Cintron was the best option, and that we need to reassign someone and get us a damn good bat off the bench. Logan maybe? Thorton to DL or something?

Garrett was amazing, but not anymore. Not sure of his status, but he's probably another example of signing guys to large deals after their prime.

It will probably be someone like John Mabry.

someone please make him pay for all these walks

Which years? His single season high OPS is .885.

Get this, in 2272 career PA's against LHP, he has walked 67 times! Because of this his .291 career BA against LHP comes with a .309 OBP.

He really looks like Erstad with higher home run totals to me.

The best hitter that could be available is J. Jones on the Cubs. This offense needs some help though.

anderson also had a very good arm and speed in LF. but you're right, he's not what he was a couple of years ago

Anderson and speed have never been in same sentence.

Martha Black looks as cold as ice.

Looks like Contreras has the Garcia disease this year. His average fastball is around 90 mph and he has no command of his forkball.

clearly you didn't watch him much in the past

Is eduardo perez worth a call?

Vazquez and Garland have contracted that disease as well.
