Hawk comparing Weaver to Santana. Is every pitcher Cy Santana because he beats us?

Very impressed with Napoli's game calling. He's set up our hitters with a lot of offspeed stuff and then busted them in with 2 strikes on the inner half.

Rally Egbert is so fired.

I expect instant results.

So......still trying to verify Sweeney as the callup.

Rowandesque

I thought Mack was going to grind himself to the DL.

Hawk likes my alma mater

He's not as big of an asshole as his brother, but he's close.

His pitch count was up and he's coming off some shoulder problems and didn't pitch much at all this spring.

He got knocked around (rusty) the first couple of times out, but he's back now. We had our chances to score and simply didn't get in done, and we let him settle into a rhythm. Erstad gets on in the bottom of the first and the complexion of the game might have changed, with Weaver coming into this game a big question mark.

This is going to be a damn good Angels team when their guys get healthy.

Their offense will still be weak because they're going to continue giving ABs to Garrett Anderson and Shea Hillenbrand. But that team sure can pitch.

I think Boston is the best team in the AL.

I have several suggestions. How about:

Rally toothbrush

or

Rally hubcap

Let's get Erstad is position to drive in some runs.

Its really painful to think that Ive got more confidence in him right now than most others in the lineup

Cintron continues to be a rally killer. It's pretty pathetic we have no one else that can DH.

Rally Gary Coleman.

gary-coleman.jpg

Cintron swings for the fences more than Uribe. The guy is useless

Birmingham

Player IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA

Egbert 4.0 2 0 0 1 3 0 1.55

Uribe pops up an absolutely terrible pitch. I have no confidence in Ozzie to handle this DH spot the right way.

Get on for Gooch.

That a boy Darin. CMON GOOCH.

GOOOOOOOOOOOCH

I like the hit, but never f***ing swng at that again.

That's a pure grinder hit.

Ball four, just above the dirt, and Erstad slaps it into the outfield.

Another good AB for Erstad. We'd have a couple of runs tonight if not for our bench players in the lineup.

We're at home, make 'em pay! Let's tie it up.
