May 10, 200718 yr to Danks for the his 1st MLB win! The bats are slowly waking up. 6 runs without a HR, not bad. Could have been 9 if Hunter does not make that circus catch.
May 10, 200718 yr kid looked outstanding tonight. However, from what I've been hearing, the CSN gun had him at 92-94...? The FSN North gun had him at like 89-92 all night. It's really quite meaningless, because if he keeps throwing like taht, that extra 2 MPH won't mean really mean anything Edited May 10, 200718 yr by witesoxfan
May 10, 200718 yr I don't know if it was just me, but his tempo seemed faster tonight compared to his previous outings.
May 10, 200718 yr QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 9, 2007 -> 09:44 PM) I don't know if it was just me, but his tempo seemed faster tonight compared to his previous outings. way way way faster. Almost faster than Buehrle, if that's possible.
May 10, 200718 yr From what I've seen thus far this season, I look forward to the next 5 years of John Danks' career. They are going to be a blast.
May 10, 200718 yr QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 10, 2007 -> 02:50 AM) This is terrible news for Tizzle. Hah. Flash may be overharsh on certain things sometimes, but if you actually think he's rooting for Danks to fail...
May 10, 200718 yr Great game by him all the way around! I really really like this kid. He has a bright future with us for sure!! Congrats on the first W!!
May 10, 200718 yr QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 9, 2007 -> 09:51 PM) Hah. Flash may be overharsh on certain things sometimes, but if you actually think he's rooting for Danks to fail... It was mostly sarcasm.
May 10, 200718 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 9, 2007 -> 09:51 PM) From what I've seen thus far this season, I look forward to the next 5 years of John Danks' career. They are going to be a blast. Scott Boras doesn't hang around losers. No sir.
May 10, 200718 yr Congrats to Johnny Danks. You got your first Major league win, a day you will never forget. You have been a pleasant surprise so far this season. Enjoy the beer shower!!
May 10, 200718 yr Congrats to Danks. I was worried that a 4 run first inning wouldn't be enough. Our offense needs more nights like tonight, without the home run ball.
May 10, 200718 yr Danks could turn into a better version of Buehrle, if you ask me. Especially if he can develop a similar cutter, which he has been working with. He seems to already have the pace down. Working that fast seems to suit him well, especially with the way he attacks the zone. But what sets him apart from Buehrle is his curve. Danks also has 1-2 mph more on his fastball as well. Danks can become a dominant pitcher sooner rather then later.
May 10, 200718 yr QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 9, 2007 -> 10:34 PM) Did it look like he was using a cutter at all? No, it is still a work in progress. He has said he wants to wait until he has mastered it to use it in a game.
