Yep, but as much as we would have loved it, you can understand why they didn't. I know they would have had higher attendance if he did go there.

Oh yeah, definitely. You're asking for a PR nightmare.

Just thinking about it though, he would've made this team SOOO much better. It wouldn't have compromised the future, either, because it only would've been a one year deal.

I'd love for the Sox to inquire about Griffey, but only in an Abreu type deal where we're not giving up any of our top prospects. They always love relievers, they can take MacDougal and some of the Sox' second tier pitching prospects.

Also, I was referring more to his tirade about how he'll let all of his players test the market from now on and he'll never re-sign a pitcher, etc.

I guess my feeling on this is, he has a boss. One thing I will tell you though, he works his ass off trying to get a good rapport with these guys. If you could see him in Tucson you would know how hard this guy works. Sorry game threaders these comments belong in another thread/topic probably.

Evil Squirrel is pleased with Javy. E.S. has decided to spare Javy ... for now.

Juan Uribe can't hit.

That is all.

Nice inning

That was an inexcusable inning by our 2-3-4.

What a pathetic inning that was!!!

A glimmer of hope in our offense only to be crushed by that performance. Evil Squirrel is not pleased.

Consistently.

It's amazing the lack of consistency with these hitters. One inning you think MAYBE they're starting to figure it out, and they follow it with a 6 pitch inning. Pendulum swings back to the Cubs.

Evil Squirrel will make Ivy fertilizer of the White Sox that do not start hitting.

f***

God this team is retarded

So much for the lead!!!

Wow, what a cheap f***ing homer. Vazquez getting back to his 5th inning blow-ups the last two games now.

Announcers just mention that he hasn't given up 5th/6th inning homeruns this year, and on cue he gives one up. To Barrett of all people. Amazing.

wind got that one...

The good thing is that we've never thrown at that tool after the AJP episode.

Edited by fathom

Opposite field, I wonder if our team even knows what that is.

Could not agree with you more on that point. I do have an issue with Guillen on his philosophy there.
