May 23, 200718 yr Can't wait to read tommorrow how we are "spinning out of control" Only thing swining outta control is our fuc*in bats!!!!
May 23, 200718 yr Tribe 10-12 on the road and MLB best 17-4 at home, this is not a good sign for a full season, I like the chances of them fading
May 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ May 22, 2007 -> 10:29 PM) God damn it's so good to see Thome back. that is the key to life right now
May 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 23, 2007 -> 12:20 AM) Just a fantastic night overall. Get the sweep tomorrow boys, just have a dominating end to a very good series. I've got a bad feeling about tomorrow. The Sox can't even spell sweep. I hope I'm wrong.
May 23, 200718 yr I love reading Marriotti's columns on how dysfunctional the Sox, Jerry and Ozzie are and then watch them go out and pound a team.
May 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ May 22, 2007 -> 10:50 PM) Holy crap, I just realized something. Aren't we 4-1 against the A's this year? Yep, and the one loss was thanks to some wonderful header work by Prancer. Danks, you're my boy!! Thome = win at life
May 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 23, 2007 -> 12:30 AM) It needs to happen. They have come out guns blazing this series and have looked great, Cy Gaudin is on the hill tomorrow, and as a few of us said about a week ago, they just need to wipe the floor with a team during a series, and they have a chance. Get it done Sox. The key for tomorrow will be on the basepaths. I read on AN that Kendall hasn't thrown out any of his last 29 runners (He was credited with 1 CS during that stretch, but it was with runners on first and third, pitcher threw to first, runner went home, throw came home, out at home) and Gaudin is really slow to the plate. I want to say there have been 19 SB against him already this year. (I don't remember the actual number) If that's the battery the A's go with, everyone not named Thome, Konerko, Pierzynski, and Dye should be running when they reach first.
May 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ May 22, 2007 -> 10:01 PM) Danks had a mediocre performance. Defense saved him but Ill take the W for him. Nice to see Thome hit one out same with Dye, and Kong even got a hit. The defense owed him.
May 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 23, 2007 -> 01:26 AM) The key for tomorrow will be on the basepaths. (I don't remember the actual number) If that's the battery the A's go with, everyone not named Thome, Konerko, Pierzynski, and Dye should be running when they reach first. MLB.com stats say 10 already this year, but there hasn't been a CS against him all year. In fact, 10 for 10 this year, and 20 for 21 in his career. Yeah, run all day.
May 23, 200718 yr I kinda figured Danks would struggle last night, but it was nice to see him battle through the adversity. Javy Vazquez should sit next to this kid on the bench.
May 23, 200718 yr So I had seats right behind the A's dugout last night, right next to the people that are on camera when lefties are up. A buddy and me were just flat out giving it to the A's players in the dugout, especially Buck, Chavez and Blanton. After a couple of innings of razzing, Chavez turns around and says "cant you guys just be quiet", ive never seen a ballplayer whine like that. Everything was in good fun though, and hilarious. Even better when we put a spanking on them.
