don't know, not ichiro though. if we are going to pay a lot, i would rather see us getting a younger player with more upside.

 

but we DEFINATELY need a good lead off hitter.

Thome is hitting around .140 against LHP since the start of the all-star break in 2006.

Pretty awful game for Thome as well today. No shock against a lefty pitcher.

If you swing like Gooch or Uribe has done with men on late in the game down by a run, you should sit for a week for being dumb. Those balls couldnt of hit the strikezone unless our gravity turned up 5 times.

As soon as Hawk said that Kazmir pitches basically just 6 innings in every start, I knew he'd go at least 7 against us.

 

I swear, El Duque or Vazquez could throw a CG against this team.

You mean like what basically every single expert predicted before the season? The level of play in the Tigers/Indians series is fantastic to watch as a fan....so many line drives scatted around the field.

2 innings in a row we strand a guy on 2nd with no outs. And in both innings, we have a guy strike out on a pitch that is not a strike by about 3 feet.

 

Impressive.

 

If the Indians win we are 5.5 out. Tomorrow is a dead loss. We face Halladay this week as well. So much for the easy part of the schedule.
