He had to advance on that throw though. Thome has been hitting alot of singles lately.

It matters, especially when players just give up on those pickles. He should have just busted his behind and tried to get back (I hate when I see players dog it in a pickle).

Thats a standard play though. You advance the runner on the throw to the plate. If they cut it off, keep alive until the run scores, if they nap you get another person into scoring position. Thats a standard big league play, and there was nothing wrong with it.
