Paul Konerko: "No matter what happens from here on out, we'll always have this in our pocket."

So true.

Haha SOB, I have this video on my MP3 player. And I watched this for the first time in forever yesterday. Still does a number to me.

God I miss that feeling...

I hate to be the voice of, well, philadelphism, but thats all in the past. Maybe I just don't know because I haven't seen a championship... ever... but nothing in that video impacts this season except for maybe "No matter what happens from here on out, we'll always have this in our pocket." To me that says "Who cares what we do from here on out, we won the series and I'm content with that and always will be."

If you're not playing for today, why are you playing at all?

(Alright! I just got rookie status! Maybe I'll post here more often)

Awesome (although a little sobering when Ozzie says "2005's over. We're not the world champions any more.")

After watching, it might be time to pop in the World Series DVD's for a little nostalgia.

Honestly, no offense, but you are 110% incorrect here. This has less to do with the current state of the team and the current season, and more to do with reliving a memory that will forever be in our hearts.

Hell, I know every once in a while, when the team is pissing me off, I pop in the 2005 WS DVD's and just relive the moments.

Thanks for posting that Rock, you really have no idea how much I needed that. Seeing it for the first time was even better.

Hey, when its all said and done, I absolutely love this team. They may frustrate me sometimes, and really ruin my days, but I still love them.

That makes me want to cry.

Chris Farley..."remember that time you like, kicked ass and won the world series? That was awesome!"

thanks, I needed that

It's like one interview I heard with Crede, when asked about Chavez winning another gold glove over Crede

"I bet he'd trade each one of those six gold gloves for the ring I've got on my finger."

I miss the glory days when watching this team was not painful. Still, I love this team.

God I miss that feeling...

Me too.

Thanks for posting that Rock. I still remember exactly where I was and who I was standing next to (didn't sit down the entire 9th inning, lol) when that final out was made in Game 4. My dad and I were just going nuts, jumping around, and I don't think the smile was wiped off my face 'till I went to bed.

I prefer the 2005 season myself, maybe your memory is blurred from too much ... :P

Goose. Bumps.

Yup... Every time.

Memories...

That makes me want to cry.

I just did. I love the White Sox so much! It hurts so bad to watch us now but i'll always have these memories!

That made me sad.

Well I don't know if it means anything or not, but yesterday was the second straight day of no runs being allowed by the pen. 4 2/3 scoreless yesterday, plus two scoreless on Monday, and then the last 2/3's scoreless by Jenks on Sunday, that makes 7 1/3 straight scoreless innings by the bullpen.

IMO, that's a fluke.
