So do I. Maybe MB should give up like 5 runs in 6 innings so the scouts don't get too MB-happy. But, of course, then the Sox win 6-5, but they are making Mr. 6.80 ERA look like Walter Johnson.

I think he knew what WHIP means. I think he said a fan who went to the game yesterday didn't know what it meant. Although, then again, I could be wrong.

The way he said it on TV, he sure sounded like he just had figured out that WHIP was walks and hits per innings pitched.

 

Might be wrong.

 

But ... I ain't heard Hawk talk about WHIP too much the last few years.

I'm really struggling with why Cintron is still on this team.

That strike three was pathetic by Cintron. Worst I've seen all year. It was CLEARLY down the middle, waist high, and he starts to fling his bat and head to first as if he'd been walked.
