When Frank retires, I cannot wait for the game where they retire 35 and dedicate a statue on the concourse.

Congrats Frank! You still are one of my favorite players ever. It's a shame he didnt hit 500 in a Sox uni though! :cheers

Way to go big guy!!! :cheers :headbang

500 HRs for my favorite White Sox player of all time :cheers

And to assclowns who say he isn't a 1st Ballot Hall of Famer, screw them! Least all his HRs were all from natural strength and skill, unlike others

Friday, July 27th, I will be there in my 35 Thomas Sox Jersey standing on my feet as soon as he appears on the on-deck circle

Now he's left and...3rd and 4th?

When Frank was here...admit it...EVERY SINGLE YEAR we thought we had a chance to win it all. In the 70's and 80's...we never thought we had a chance. God bless you Frank Thomas...16 years of hope.

Frank!

Congratulations to the best all-around hitter I've ever gotten a chance to see personally since I became a baseball fan. Well done big man!

IMO, Joe Jackson should be the next statue they make. But once Frank retires, he needs to be on the left field wall and have statue.

awesome! congrats frank!

Congrats Frank. I loved watching you growing up and I hope to visit your plaque at the Hall of Fame one day.

Uhh.. he ain't comming back. They retired Baines before he stopped playing, they can sure as hell do the same for Frank.

I totally agree with you about Shoeless Joe.

There are, I'm sure, a handful of people that should come before Frank when it comes to a statue (not because they were better but because of time), but he definitely deserves one and I'm sure he'll get one.

I don't think the White Sox would give Jackson a statue, btw.

When do they put up the bronze statue in center field?

They should put it in left center where he hit a 495 foot bomb off of Johan.

You Can Put It On The BOARRRD YESSSSSSSS!!!!

That a Boy Frank :gosox1: :drink

My very first Sox game in the early 90s Frank hit a slam and Ive been hooked ever since. I couldnt be happier for another player. Congrats!!!!

sounds like a good excuse for a beer.. Go Frank, the reason I fell in love with baseball and the White Sox :drink :cheers

This is a special day for me. Frank Thomas was the player I idolized growing up. From his swing, to his gritty work ethic, I wanted to BE the Big Hurt. Thank you so much for the inspiration Frankie! And congratulations!! YOU DID IT!!!! :cheers

Rob Neyer = Ass wipe

Because all Frank did was hit Home Runs... :fight

a couple of years ago he wrote that frank was a hof even if he didn't get to 500 home runs. i guess since then he forgot about his career line of .303/.423/.562, two mvps (should be 3) 7 other times in the top 10 for mvp and just how dominating he was for that little stretch from 90-00.

big hurt = first ballot

I am very happy for The Hurt!! Way to go big guy

Congrats to the greatest to ever don a White Sox uniform as well as arguably one of the greatest pure offensive players over a 5-7 year span.
