Cool, I've got tickets for Friday. Thursday is an off day. I think I might have a chance to see 500.

No offense, but I hope he gets it today. After the way that the Indians fans treated him, I would love to see Big Jim stick it to them.

Dear Thome,

Please do not hit your next HR until Saturday night.

Thanks,

Me

I, for one, am happy that Jim Thome has gone on a huge tear during the garbage time of this season. Good for him.

Oh, it's quite the achievement when he hits it, but I'm so disappointed by the timing of it.

QUIET! I am there tonight and I want to see it TONIGHT so I can have at least one highlight for the season besides... besides.... besides...

;)

:headbang :headbang I suspect the majority in attendance would have cheerred.

Hit it tomorrow, Thome. I'm taking the kids and they'd love it.

Thome needs to hit it tonight. I'll actually be able to see today's game but I'll be busy all day tomorrow so that's a no go. As Thome's biggest (probably a tie) supporter and fan in Chicago it's very important that I see it live.

and with whom might you be tied with? ;)

It really is incredible Jim Thome has to be defended at all. He's done his job as well as anyone on the White Sox has done theirs since he's been here. I hope he hits one on the concourse tonight.

My sister just called me. She's at the game, first row above the Bullpen Bar, and she got me two green caps.

She's a Cubs fan, but she wore her Bears jacket instead of her Cubs jacket so she "wouldn't disrespect the Sox in their building".

She told me if she catches #500, she'll give it to Thome if he gives her a jersey autographed to me.

I love my sister.

That is one awesome sister.

The interview done before the game with Thome's dad and wife was just awesome.

Where fans standing for each at bat?

Probably in front of their seats.

LOL

Seriously though, I was there, and yes. Everyone was standing, and cheering, each at bat. Thome appeared to definitely be swinging for the fences. but he couldn't get it done. Oh well. Fun game anyway.
