July 23, 200718 yr I would start Floyd in Game 2, and move him to the bullpen if he is halfway decent. I know his future is as a starter, but until Contreras is moved, we don't have an opening in the rotation, and that bullpen is just god awful. If he keep his ERA below 5.00, he'd be a major upgrade (sad to say) in our bullpen. Hopefully, though, Contreras is moved in the next 10 days....

Wouldn't surprise me.. especialy considering i was at one of the DH games against the twins, which at the end of the game, i decided that it was time for me to drink as many beers as the Twins had scored runs that day.. i didn't make it.. but i dont remember how far i went.. First there was the keystone cops, five-error first game (cue "Yakkity Sax"), which I took my mom to. No wonder she hasn't called me in two weeks. Then, like an idiot, I figure I'd el it home to the north side and come back for the night game, since my regular crew would be at that one. Oh, they were. Apparently the only ones who didn't show up were the Sox and I believe that one was like 12-0 or 11-1 or no, wait: it was a shutout. That would be my fifth game that July 4th week, for which I went 1-4. Could it get uglier? I guess not, because nobody has any expectations any more. Here's the ugly part: at that point I'd had it so I skipped the Sat/Sun games. Of course, we won both. Check my sig... That said I might hit the day game, though, if the weather's nice.

July 24, 200718 yr This is why they should have played some of the rainout makeups back in April. Now we're guaranteed to lose both. Back then, who knows? It was earlier in the season and the team hadn't quit yet and the bullpen wasn't a trainwreck yet. p.s. Does anybody have KW's email address and Ozzie's? I realize this is stupid but I want to put in a request to refuse to play the Cubs in all day games next season. Why are those 3 games in the Cell against the Cub always day games? The Cubs have an advantage in day games. Play the Cubs at night!!! Go Sox!
