Gavin Floyd looks absolutely horrible. He has the look of a guy who will be out of baseball in 3 years. I am beginning to think the trade was Garcia for Gio...may turn out good there, but certainly not a winner for Kenny at this point.

Floyd is showing some good breaking stuff, but WTF -- I thought your fastball was supposed to go up a couple MPH when you moved to the bullpen. 91 MPH? GMAB.

On cbssportsline.com, it said he threw one 94.

This team looks like absolute s*** tonight.

Can't do anything right, b****ing about calls, giving up homers left and right.

Horrible.

Almost another homer. Get Floyd out of Chicago, he's atrocious.

what was paulie tossed for?

Whining about balls and strikes.

Cuz when you give up 14 runs (so far) and score 3 on one swing and nothing else, it's the umpire's fault.

Floyd's stuff is just not really impressive. And like Flash says, KW looks worse with every passing day.

I love this lineup right now with Owens, Richar, Erstad, and Pods...when you combine that with Floyd on the mound, it might be the worst team anyone has had on the field at one time all season.

Droppin' like flies...

I missed the first game, where he got the hits, but Richar seems to have an uppercut swing that's not going to be very productive if he doesn't adjust.

Gavin needs to grow back the "beard"

Where's the vomit smiley?

Flash....you ok buddy?

Another homer...what is that? 7? 8?

For the love of f***, call up Egbert.

BTW, I plan on watching the Dodgers tonite. should be enjoyable watching Bonds getted booed unmercifully.

That's the problem, here.

If both the McCarthy and Garcia trade come down to McCArthy vs. Danks and Garcia vs. Gonzalez, obviously we'll come ahead in one; but those arent' the lopsided types of deals we initially hoped for. We're not going to build a championship off one for one deals. In the future, we'll need more than one major league player to arise out of trades.

blehhh

So, Williams, mind telling us where this Arizona Fall League Floyd is going to show up?

Every day that passes I'm doubting Williams more and more. Atleast if Floyd is going to pitch terribly he can do it out of the rotation, instead of hte bullpen. Guage how much he sucks over a period of 10+ starts.

Didn't the Arizona fall league Floyd have a crappy ERA with a home run rate higher than McCarthy, whose home run rate was supposedly so bad we just had to get rid of him?

I'm anxiously awaiting Williams' comments after this game ends. Not only the lack of moves in the trading deadline, but the embarrassing performance of his team -- most notably love child Gavin Floyd.

Someone seriously needs to strike gold over this offseason.

Didnt think that was possible, but he may have hit a new low with the day/night developments today

This is how the season goes....within 10 seconds of each other, Ryan Howard lets an easy grounder go under his glove against the Cubs, while S. Green makes a terrific diving catch against the Brewers....WHAT A TERRIBLE BASEBALL SEASON! f***, why can't anyone field against the Cubs now? 3 terrible misplays by the Phils tonight.

Danks was the one with a higher home run rate than McCArthy. Floyd, as I recall (someone else with the patience can look it up) had respectable but not dominating numbers in the Arizona Fall League.

If you told me the Yankees were going to hit 8 HR's against us, I'd think ARod got 500, 501, and 502.
