this is like the first game of the season, mistake putting contreras even out there

I still love the people on here who thought Melky would be a terrible acquisition in a trade. Trade proposals bring out the worst in people on this site.

Big whoop. He hit Charles Haeger. Give it a rest.

I just realized, we have the worst starting pitcher (Jose) and the worst starting playing (Juan) in the league. Hahaha. We suck.

Yea, this team isn't that far off...just need a leadoff hitter and a guy in the pen/sarcasm. I expect the off-season to be a very active one, this team sucks.

No he hasn't. He's having a better statistical season than 05.

Who the hell cares about batting average as a stat? His slugging was much better in 2005.

A whole 31 points.

Melkey turns around to bat right handed against the right handed Haeger? That is the line from MLB Game day and then the guy homers. The game is getting to be a terrible nightmare and/or joke

Yep, I hate 22 year old players who put up an OPS over .750 and switch hit. How about you give it a rest, and stop trying to negate every post someone makes?

3 biggest names in each sport? Maybe to ESPN, yeah. But to the rest of the intelligent sports world the names are Bonds, Manning, and Bryant.

I know, if you average 22 and 12 every year in the NBA, you aren't that good. And 3 rings in the NFL- not that good. And nobody who's the youngest to 500 HR's ever is s***.

Sure Kobe is the best player in the world, and Manning is great, along with Bonds. But I meant to say "maybe the 3 best in each sport". Key word- maybe.

I'm sorry, you must have known he was going to be great since the day he was born. Please. There hasn't been a day in the last month where I haven't heard the same line from you regarding different players.

He's on a roll right now.

What in the world are you referring to? That's funny, because I've been less active on this site over the last few weeks than any time during the last three years.

I am headed home pretty soon and debating if I should turn on XM radio or not. Don't know if I can stand it anymore. But, I am a diehard and glutton for punishment so probably will

Garnett is not even top 5, maybe not even top 10, in the NBA anymore. Brady has been pampered because he doesn't make mistakes and has played on great teams. He's not that great, just very very smart. Bonds, well, I'll give you that one.

.217/.270/.331 in 94 games (314 ABs)

hahahaha, no one is worse.

I changed my PTC from Konerko to Dye adn so far Konerko has 2 hits and Dye none

I love Paulie, I almost wished we would trade him and Thome so that they wouldnt have to go through a season like this

13th in scoring, 1st in rebounding, tremendous defender. Ya he's a top 10 player.

Though I understand your point, I don't want that. Paulie is one of the few players that makes us proud, even in loss the dude is still a stud, a class act, a leader, and a winner....

We just need to put some friggin people in front of him.

With a runner on 2B and nobody out you would sure like to see that guy driven in and give us a fighting chance

But it didn't happen. Three groundouts
