Let's hope they get this one in. A strong start from Danks would be nice.

If this game gets played it'll be a miracle! That's some storms that have been moving through here today!

I wish they would make a call on this game soon. Would hate to go all the way to the park and have it called. Looks like another line of storms approaching from the west.

just got back from a run around the loop. this game isnt happening.

not a chance

What's the weather supposed to be like on Friday evening? I see that game is scheduled for WGN broadcast and maybe I will be able to watch it.

Josh Mora now reporting there will be baseball tonight between 8:45 and 9:00pm.

The only reason this game has not been cancelled yet is Mr. Reinsdorf is trying to milk a few extra dollars out of all the Boston fans at the concession stands.

We have a winner!! Only reason it hasn't be canceled yet is financial, there is no way they could play tonight.

They are actually gonna play this thing, unbelievable.

915 to 930 start time.

I think there going to play because at this time during the year, its hard to find make up dates without having doubleheaders...

Tarp on, pouring hard again. If the weather wasn't supposed to be terrible tomorrow they would have already scheduled the DH.

The funniest part is when the field lights flickered and some went out... and then pops up on the screen, "We should have White Sox baseball in 45 minutes!!"

It's a rain out...

CHICAGO (AP) -- Heavy rain and powerful storms forced the postponement of Thursday night's Boston Red Sox-Chicago White Sox game at U.S. Cellular Field.

The game was called after a wait of 2 hours, 19 minutes. It will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Friday starting at 2:05 p.m. EDT.

All right, who's going?

This was obvious from the get go. Just like the "rainout" when the Yankees were in town and there was hardly drizzle this one gets called right about the time beer sales would have stopped if the game had started on time. At least it rained this time. Waiting for 2 hours was ridiculous.

The White Sox, as their rich tradition suggests, screw the fans over by making them sit there 2 hours for a game that never had a shot at starting. And boy was it cute how they said "this game will start!" a couple times on CSN too, liars. Then again, any of the fans that showed up tonight are on the hook for being idiots too, nobody could have really thought they'd start tonight.

And yet again, the man screws it up for tomorrow. We schedule a doubleheader for tomorrow, despite the fact that the forecast is severe weather and rain most of the day and then it's going to be clear and cool Saturday AND Sunday. Good luck getting even 1 game in tomorrow.

Just for the record it wasn't the Whitesox officials call on this one. It was the crew chiefs since this is Boston's last series here and also considering the weather is going to be s***ty again tomorrow. They wanted to wait it out as long as possible to try and get it in.

I wasn't a bit surprised that this one got rained out.

Supposed to go to the night game tonight, but with rain in the forecast, I hope it just starts pouring now so that I don't have to take the journey to the Cell, only to have to turn around when it's called.

+1. I am looking forward to going, but not if it will be delayed 2 hours and then not played. I think we'll know more this afternoon.

The day game could also screw up the night game.

Yes, thank you.

But let's not let reality get in the way of knee jerk reaction rants about the White Sox screwing their fans.

Yeah, it's not exactly "screwing" the fans, because they're not forcing you to buy the food or beer... but you can't help but wonder when you hear the vendors saying "last call"and about 10 minutes after that they call the game. It just feels like they know the game has been called, but they wait it out for that little bit longer to rake in some cash. This happened with the Yankees game as well, but with that, at least they had the Bulls on the big screen so it was somewhat entertaining. Oh well... they can't control the weather.

Nice, Hawk and DJ doing radio.
