I really don't know why or how anyone would give Andy Gonzalez anything less than a C. As far as I'm concerned, he stayed healthy and played a lot of positions, so he gets an A. That in itself says a lot about a guy. I mean, the guy hit like s***, but who honestly didn't expect that? He's the 32nd man on a 25 man roster, it just so happens that the White Sox are so bad that he was the 27th or 28th man.

Had the team been in contention, it's an entirely different story, but seriously, kudos to Andy for health and flexibility, and thanks for busting your balls kid.

I think a lot of people who have as much business being on a major league roster as Andy Gonzalez would be willing to play anywhere the manager wanted. You are right, its not his fault he sucks, but do you give a kid with a very low IQ who gets 5 out of 100 correct on a math test an A? He is not a major leaguer, and was horrible this year, maybe give him a D- for charity.

The Fans: A

The team, which is most important: A resounding F.

A total embarrassment of a season. The veterans with the exception of

the starting pitchers failed miserably when it mattered if we had runners.

Absoultely no team speed again until Owens played and he didn't hit much until

lately when it appears he just might be a damn good player.

All the veteran hitters did was strand runners when it mattered.

The bullpen was one of the worst in modern Sox history if not baseball history.

The managing was poor as Oz couldn't motivate the troops this time.

The general managing was awful as KW made all the wrong moves. Terrible

decision to bring in Erstad, horrible calls on the bullpen.

Disgraceful season.

Fans deserve credit for showing up all year.

Wondered when somebody was gonna put Hawk on there.

Hawk gets that C- for using the word "DAGGUMMIT" approximately 1,568 times this year.

DJ: Only reason I'd give him a B is for the week he took off and Stone replaced him.

The fans should get an A+ just for showing up past July.

Garland's 4.23 era makes me utterly shocked he's getting in the B's territory. He doesn't make the bank that he does to go out there and be 3 games under .500 with a 4.23.

Oh yeah, FYI, he's under 100 k's on the entire season... (98) classic Jon.

His W-L record, especially on this team, has pretty much zero to do with his performance.

And a 4.23 ERA from a consistent 200 IP pitcher is most definitely above average - therefore, I'd say a B is pretty reasonable.

I agree with most but.....

Contreras had one bad month from his last June start thru the end of July. Take that away and his ERA is right at 4. I give him a D.

I can't see how Vazquez wouldn't get an A and I've been one of his detractors.

Who cares about Andy Gonzalez grade ?

Fields might deserve an A. Bring him up in the middle of the season. He plays third base just fine. He plays left field adequately and they move him back and forth as a rookie. At times he was the team's best hitter. I'm just saying that I am very impressed with him. Plus, he has an injury that prevents him from running full speed. Now, I get the hyperbole about this kid.

KENNY WILLIAMS deserves an F for this season ! Abso****ingtutely ! Before the start of the season 2 things were extremely obvious about this team. # 1 the bullpen sucked. By the time KW was done.....it sucked worse. # 2 The Sox needed atleast one more legitimate outfielder to contend. KW got no one. A blind man could see that Pods and Erstad would not be healthy and he counted on them. These 2 issues doomed this team from April and both were not hidden and preventable.

A 4.23 era with over 200 innings is pretty freakin good.

The gross underachievment has got to fall to manager. Gave Danks a C because we really expected nothing and got a good number of good starts early. Aardsma a C because of first month and lack of opportunity to turn it around when games meaningless.

Mark Buehrle: B+ (Soul of team)

Javier Vazquez: B+ (Good to see him FINALLY live up to potential)

Jose Contreras: D (Least his trade value is up going into offseason)

Jon Garland: C (Same as Jose)

Jon Danks: C- (Looks like a Buehrle prototype but needs more command of fastball)

Gavin Floyd: D+ (Meh. A Javy clone with some good stuff but doesn't know where it's going most of the time)

Bobby Jenks: A (He was still big, bad Bobby Jenks!)

Mike MacDougal: F (Absolute waste of a ML arm)

David Aardsma: F (If his fastball had movement, he'd be a great setup guy)

Boone Logan: C+ (Got better as the season rolled on)

Ehren Wasserman: B (I like the different look he brings to 'pen)

Mike Myers: F (Done)

Matt Thornton: D (Needs fastball to move more too)

Ryan Bukvich: F (Threw nothing but gasoline on the fire.)

AJP: C (Was just OK but attitude fell when Sox became superbad)

Paul Konerko: B- (Hope the defense and offesne doesn't keep slipping)

Jim Thome: B+ (The OBP king of the Sox, drop him in order against LH or platoon with Dye to save both their bodies)

Iguchi: C (He gawn)

Richar: C+ (Like eye at plate and range in the field. Once he learns to hit junk, could be very good player)

Juan Uribe: C- (Was lazy in the field and still has no plate discipline. But still best option at SS for next yr.)

Josh Fields: B (His power was very surprising so let's improve his eye at the plate, Walker!)

Scott Pods: D (Wish he were healthy, otherwise, only worth is for the bench as reserve OF, pinch runner)

Erstad: D (His Royal Grindness should be dismissed. Kenny, he's NEVER gonna hit what he did in 2000, stop believing he will!)

Jermaine Dye: C+ (Hope he holds up the next couple of yrs. Ozzie, platoon him at DH against Lefties!)

Jerry Owens: C (Not an everyday starter as he has no plate discipline and is just avg in center)

Toby Hall: D- (Didn't show much)

Andy Gonzalez: F (Why is he even on the roster?!?)

Alex Cintron: INC (Can bring back for reserve IF)

Ozzie Guillen: C+ (Some bad moves but still most entertaining and passionate mgr we will ever have for the White Sox)

Kenny Williams: D (Had some good ideas for 'pen, just blew up in face. Least he had some ideas)

I'll keep it simple:

Most improved- Javy Vazquez

Most Consistent- Bobby Jenks

Biggest dissappointment- Jose Contreras

Biggest Disaster- Injuries to Pods, Erstad, Crede, Thome.

The Worst -Bullpen

Biggest Potential- Josh Fields

The best part of 2007- Three way tie between Buerhle's no-no, Thome's 500th, and Jenks tieing the all time consecutive outs record.

KW- F-

Ozzie- C-

Fans- A+++. I've never seen soo many fans go to a Sox game when they were in last place on a consistent bases like they have in 2007.. Its amazing what a world championship does for an organization, it provides hope for the future that maybe, just maybe we can do it again soon. KW should have some financial flexibility, that is if they still go by "If the fans come, we will spend" philosophy.

Batting C

Starting Pitching B-

Bullpen F..... (Jenks) B+

KW F-.....(Totally handcuffed team with terrible move after move. Talks a big game ONLY)

OG D+.. (Still cannot manage a bullpen very well and tirades have pretty much run there course)

Fans Support A+..( Great job in showing up again. DO NOT want to hear any financial restraint issues by JR or KW)
