I'm sort of curious how many of the folks here are season ticket holders, and of those, how many are renewing. I'd also be curious about where people are located.

For those renewing, first payment is due 11/2. We just got our package in the mail to renew, with a few promotional items in it, and some incentives to renew (AJ bobblehead, entry into drawings for Spring Training and World Series trips).

We have a 4 seat, 27 game weekday plan, been in the same location a few years now. Definitely renewing. We have an amazing location, so I don't think we are ever giving it up. We ask every year to upgrade to full seasons in the same location, but the weekend-plan people in our seats seem to like their seats too, unfortunately.

I work for a small firm that has season tickets, unfortunately if our seats are not moved closer to home plate, the boss does not want to renew. I personally had the Ozzie plan, i loved it, but then life starts to get in the way and some games were hard to attend. With a new mortgage and other so called responsibilities, it is not looking good to renew....as much as i hate to say that!

We are in a bit of a pickle. We want to re-up our 27 game weekend plan, but want to move seats. If we can't, then we aren't coming back. The section is fine, its just that we got seats 1-2, and we get all the vendor traffic RIGHT in front of the plate.

Problem is, we aren't going to deposit any money if we don't know for sure where we are sitting, yet they can't figure out how many people are re-uping without deposits.

Will see what happens.

You might be able to make a payment and get it refunded - maybe. I am not sure what the policy is. Call your rep, they may be able to work something out for you where you can get your deposit back if they can't move your seats.

I'm guessing there will be a significant chunk of people not renewing, allowing people like you to move (and people on the waiting list to get in).

Sounds like they are preparing to take a hit as there are a a-lot of different payment options and seat relocation alternatives that will be settled in Decemebr as oppossed to January.

Maybe something big is going ot happen after 12/15 that will shock the fanbase........

The Ozzie plan makes no sense to me anymore. You don't get playoff tix, and I think you get one Cubs game. Not worth it.

I did like having the Ozzie plan, i got to go to opening day, a Cubs game, a few Red Sox Games and a Yankee Game, it was pretty cool. Only thing was it started to get expensive, and between playing baseball, watching it on TV, and going to games, i started to get burned out. The other thing was, i would have tickets to a game from my plan and then i would have the work season tickets fall into my lap, it happened three times, all at the last minute, whuich was great, but then i always had my two extra Ozzie Plan tickets that i could not give away (although i did get two extra No-Hitter ticket stubs because of this!)

I am probably renewing, but I BETTER move closer this year. I know they sent me a package in the mail, but I havent received it yet. IM sure there will be incentives for us to renew

The chance for season ticket holders to see SoxBP is pretty cool. I just hope it's for a bunch of games.

yeah, that was my favorite part of the package. I was psyched to see that. It will be nice to have early access to BP, just the season holders in the crowd.

I am going to renew my partial plan. The only thing holding me back is how s***ty my postseason tickets are. In '05, not being a season ticket holder, I got every game, third base side, for face value. Now, as a season ticket holder, I can't pull seats that good. So why not just by single game tickets like I did before '06? But, I think I will. Love the Sox and love the Cell.

See you f***ers in '08.

Buh? How did you get postseason tickets in '05 for face value in a good location without being a season holder? Were you one of the one-in-a-thousand lucky ones the day those few went on sale to the public or something?

Renewing full. No sense in bailing after nearly 4 decades.

That is cool, but I still think stadiums should open up earlier a couple times a week to allow fans to do that on a regular basis. I know Arte Moreno opened up the gates earlier when he took over as owner and that you are able to get into the park early enough to catch a good chunk of Angels batting practice.

Heck, even if it was just once a week (maybe on a Friday or Saturday night). They have the employees there early anyway and they'd get some extra concession sales during this span (even though most people wouldn't go to it, there is still a good enough chunk of people that would go that early).

Its good to know people. I could have bought 2 season holder ticket packages that year.

Got my renewal notice in the mail today along with alot of other info and the new request and notification about the "wall of fame." They better move my seats up

I Think I'm going to drop my full season package.

I Think I'm going to drop my full season package.

Just curious... what is your reason for doing so? The lousy season, finances, or something else?

I'm dropping my Ozzie plan because I am incapable of planning my life up to 6 months in advance. I ended up eating or giving away tickets due to a fishing trip, the death of an acquaintance and a wedding. I'll go to just as many games but will select targets of opportunity game by game. I expect availability to be easier and think I will end up with better seats this way.

Is Soxtalk.com a good place to request buying a few tickets next summer?

Do all of you go to all the games? Or would you sell 2-4 on a given summer day?

I am hoping my vacation finally coincides with the Sox being home next summer.

They are always on the road when I come back which has sucked.

There's always someone on the board selling part of their season tickets in The Ticket Exchange area.

That's where I look first if I want to go to a game.

Changed my mind, I will do it again. The reason is that I live on the NorthShore and its hell getting to every game.
