October 9, 200718 yr I think he is entitled to a bad game. I don't know why there seems to be so much hatred towards him in this thread. I suppose because he gets a ton of press but let's not be so quick to assume he will continue with this type of play.

It's not about icing the kicker. Icing the kicker is calling a timeout to make them think about it a little bit. Now coaches wait till the last millisecond so the other team ends up kicking twice. It's getting really old. They need to take control of this.

Romo finally spreaded the ball around late and it paid dividends. So that's what he's gotta do next week. If he focuses on 1 guy against the Pats, it could be ugly again.

October 9, 200718 yr Yeah, I can't believe there are commentators and people out there who honestly think the Patriots first loss has a good chance of occurring against Dallas. Who will beat NE? I don't know. It very well might be someone I didn't expect, or anyone else. But I doubt it's Dallas. I'd guess someone like, say, Pittsburgh. But not Dallas.

October 9, 200718 yr Well, Favre is one of the greatest QBs of all-time and he might very well be the toughest to ever play the game, so he deserves plenty of praise and admiration, not just from announcers and fans but from, say, players like, oh, even TO.

The thing with Rex is he is mentally very weak, I have yet to see him ever have a game where something went wrong and he came back to help his team overcome it and win. As we saw last year, anytime the Bears won during one of Rex's bad games, it was due to the special teams and defense (SEE: game at Arizona and vs. Minnesota at Soldier Field). Romo managed to have a respectable 30 for 50 night and 302 yards, while leading his team to a TD and field goal inside 2 minutes to win the game in a hostile road enviornment. Almost NOBODY would have the stones to be able to come back and do that after turning it over 6 times, however Romo does, as has Favre his entire career, and that is where the comparisions come in. See how he bounces back from adversity when he is playing a competent defense, head coach. Belicheck is not Jauron, and Adalius Thomas isnt Terreance McGee. All you have to do is look at the Superbowl last year. Problem is, the Bills weren't up by like 21 points; they were up by 1 score and doing their best not to lose the game.
