October 29, 200718 yr QUOTE(RME JICO @ Oct 29, 2007 -> 12:04 AM) One of the most boring World Series ever. What are the odds that the Red Sox are on the cover of the next Sports Illustrated? Next week in the NFL is Indy vs NE, both undefeated at 8-0. Ha it'll be interesting to see what they do...

October 29, 200718 yr QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Oct 29, 2007 -> 12:06 AM) God the NL is terrible. That. I want a "real" world series this year. The Cuban national team would have to put up a better fight than this. You see Josh Fogg starting game 3, and you wonder how the AL-NL split gets to this...
October 29, 200718 yr QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 11:09 PM) That. I want a "real" world series this year. The Cuban national team would have to put up a better fight than this. You see Josh Fogg starting game 3, and you wonder how the AL-NL split gets to this... When Byrnes is the number 3 hitter on the other NLCS team. Its amazing.
October 29, 200718 yr QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 11:10 PM) Congrats to our one red-soxual poster, but screw the rest of Red Sox nation. Fixed for you.
October 29, 200718 yr QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 09:07 PM) Ha it'll be interesting to see what they do... Exactly. If there was anytime where the NFL should get the cover over the World Series champ, it would be this year. 8-0 vs 8-0 with NE looking completely unstoppable.
October 29, 200718 yr Give the Red Sox credit. Nobody predicted a sweep. They were that good this series and pretty much the best team in baseball all year.

October 29, 200718 yr I think the White Sox with Andy Gonzalez in the lineup would've taken this series
October 29, 200718 yr Well based on excuses for our 06 pitching. I expect the entire Red Sox team to fall apart, as they played into October.
October 29, 200718 yr QUOTE(3E8 @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 11:14 PM) I think the White Sox with Andy Gonzalez in the lineup would've taken this series Lets not get Crazy. Our team had hard times beating the Barons this year.

October 29, 200718 yr QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 11:16 PM) The Detroit Tigers, and hell the St. Louis Cardinals both say hello. We shall see. Lester and Bucholtz should be fresh next year. Schilling wont be there. The Redsox have a built in refresh.
October 29, 200718 yr I just want to know how Berman on ESPN had the ability to continue his broadcast after the eventual mutli-level orgasm he had when Boston recorded the final out.

October 29, 200718 yr QUOTE(RME JICO @ Oct 29, 2007 -> 12:32 AM) He has Red Sox Priapism. Contact a doctor if it lasts for more than 52 years.
October 29, 200718 yr QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 11:03 PM) Well, that was boring as hell. Outside of Buehrle's no-hitter, Bonds record breaking homer, Thome's 500th homer, and Lilly's glove throw, this was about the most boring baseball season of my life. Completely agree. Out of the 7 series, only two went more than the minimum. By far the worst postseason since the playoffs expanded. And I also thought it was a s***ty season. I am glad the Red Sox won, as the NL still hasn't won back to back titles since 79-82. I'm also a big Terry Francona fan.
October 30, 200718 yr Does Boston now have the two highest payrolls for a World Series winner (2004 and 2007)?
