Well, when referencing a quarterback, usually "touch" means taking a bit off a throw. When talking about deep balls, Orton needs to put more on it, not put touch on it. He underthrows a lot of guys deep. Putting touch on deep balls would be more like lobbing one in or something, which he doesn't need to do. The trajectory is fine, the distance is not.

No doubt in my mind that Rex is better than Orton right now. If Orton's coming back next year, I can only pray his terrible 2nd half this season is due to the injury.

I am far from a football expert, but if you blitz all your LBs, like we just did on 3rd down, why not have the CB's up on the WR to take away that quick pass?

Babich needs to be fired and Orton needs to be a backup. I would have absolutely 0 problems with Orton as our backup but he is not acceptable as a starter.

Yes, thank you. This is what I've been saying since the beginning of the year. Bashing Orton is not a de facto endorsement of Rex.

Except for that one game early in the season where he was a 6'5" turd. Hopefully that just ends up being the worst game of his career. Otherwise, Olsen is great, and Clark is also good so he's a luxury.

I was just contrasting how I feel at the end of this Bears season to how I felt at the end of the Sox season this year. I was/ am optimistic about the Sox because we had the emergence of Danks, Floyd, Rameriz and The Carlos Quentin. I don't have any optimistic feelings about the Bears.

We have a stud, automatic mismatch in Olsen and he has like 10 catches in 5 weeks. This is a joke. Turner and Babich need to be canned.

 

Bring in Garcia next year and draft a QB in the first 4 rounds.

While I get what you're saying, it's so frustrating. Forte finally gets a ball thrown his way and he takes it for 13 yards.
