Sox-Rox 3/5 Game Thread

MB perfect through one inning!

Nick Swisher is leading off and playing CF.

Swisher, CF	.467

Ramirez, SS .429

Thome, DH .231

Dye, RF .214

Pierzynski, C .273

Fields, 3B .182

Liefer, 1B .417

Anderson, LF .375

Richar, 2B .000

Swish leaves 'em loaded. A hit (Richar), 2 walks (Dye & Anderson) and error (AJ) lead to a run - Fields some sort of sacrifice to get the run.

1-0 Sox B2

Doesn't look like it. Dye with a HR to make it 2-0 Sox. Following on the live box score feed.

anyone else watching the twins yankees game on ESPN?

They've discussed virtually every team in the league - even the royals at some length, except for one.

Probably the White Sox.

OMGZ the media hates us!

Buerhle 4 shut out innings.

Well at least thus far the Sox seem to be taking spring training seriously.

indeed it was the sox!

But honestly, i can't blame them. The sox are buried in a good division and there's nothing to suggest they have "break out" potential. But I am holding out hope for a very good season.

Mark goes 4 strong. Nice.

Just checking box scores and Buerhle threw 4 innings of 1-hit scoreless ball. That is fantastic and hopefully we won't be hearing any more stuff on a sorer armed Mark B.

Dotel gives up his first run this spring, it's now 2-2

Ramirez with the 2-out RBI, sox lead 3-2.

I don't see how Alexi doesn't make the team....and start at 2nd base. Especially if you can unload Uribe. I think he can contribute a lot like Asdrubal Cabrera does with the Tribe. Play 2nd and SS for them. He will probably hit less HR and play worse defense than Cabrera but is a cheaper and better version than Uribe.

Does Alexi have any speed??

You can't remember it, because it wasn't there. They definitely appear to think they have a lot to prove. Which they do.

Does Uribe pass up seconds?

He had a stand-up triple the other day and he scored from 1st later in the same game....made both look effortless. He's long and has big strides. Don't know much about stealing ability though.

No. But yes Alexi has speed. He had a stand up triple the other day without even an attempt of a throw. He would of had an inside the park HR if Gathright was slower or bobbled the ball.

SoxFan1 beat me to it. But yeah, not sure on his base stealing abilities.

I remember the Sox being awful last spring training. The Rockies just beat the crap out of us last year.
