Two things I have seen from Floyd this spring so far that are important improvements over last year... First, he doesn't lose velocity when he goes to the stretch. That was something that seemed problematic. Second, his form looks more consistent. And that's something that Danks has yet to establish.

I'll take Heads' word for it.

His first inning was horrible defensively. They had him scouted, because they forced the issue on his arm.

AJ getting booed a lot by the Giants fans.

And these are the people who root for Barry Bonds.

Great observations. As to what I referred to earlier, I think that the gun is 3 mph slow, judging from how many of Floyd's high fastballs have been fouled off. If he was throwing 89-91 those would be out of the park. Furthermore on the gun, there's no way that Zito is throwing fastballs at 81-83 mph.

Fields will do more of this, then I think anyone here realizes. Thats BB alot.

N yet, people here still got on him for his K rate.

Ramirez looked like he had a good stroke on the ball, but the bat shattered. Ball still got to medium LF.

Floyd at the plate. He actually looks like he's not an awful hitter, by pitcher standards (by normal standards of course he looks awful).

Since Garland is gone, does that mean that Buehrle is the best hitting SP? Or is it Danks/Vazquez?

Sadly....yes it is actually possible that Zito is throwing 81-83. That's pretty much where he's at now.

Did I ever say how happy I was when someone else signed him?

javy had 2 hits and looked like he knew what he was doing out there...plus he had the experience in the NL so id say him

from experience, Giants fans are a truly unique breed

I don't know about Danks' hitting, but Vazquez was better than all else previously (including Garland).

Looks like BA is the official 4th OF so far.

Ha! Speaking of pitchers hitting...

With Phillips getting all this playing time, anyone think he has a shot to come north instead of Hall?

Nice glove work by Owens there.

And with that play Owens is almost guaranteed CF.

Edited by TheOcho

Nice grab by Owens and turns it into a DP.

Owens will have to play himself out of the starting position me thinks.
