July 10, 200817 yr QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jul 10, 2008 -> 08:18 AM) Texas has been playing well as of late. But, they have a horrendous (starting) pitching staff - with that said, I think they have three rookies pitching for them now, so the Sox won't be able to hit s***, we all know how that story ends usually when we face someone we haven't seen before... if we can finish this road trip winning 5 of 6 i will be very very happy! especially while the tigers and twins beat up on each other.
July 10, 200817 yr QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 10, 2008 -> 09:35 AM) I don't get everyone saying how much Texas stinks. They are 36-25 since May 1st. They've been better, but you can see the ending summer swoon starting to happen. As soon as the tempratures reach the upper 90's every day down here, their entire pitching staff pretty much puckers up.

July 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (BaseballNick @ Jul 11, 2008 -> 04:12 PM) As of July 11, the White Sox are #1 in ESPN's Power Rankings. Check it out ......wow.
July 11, 200817 yr . . . Wow is right. Kudos to ESPN (i dont say that often) for recognizing the Sox and their young ace in the making - Danksy!
July 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 11, 2008 -> 04:18 PM) ......wow. Yeah, I'm not even sure I agree with that. Between that and Carlos Quentin having a nickname (TCQ, The Carlos Quentin) that I did not know of, today has been enlightening.

Check it out wow, who among us would have thunk during spring training the chart'd look like that days before the ASB???? During the the couple days I spent in Tucson, would have a bet a few paychecks against it......
July 12, 200817 yr I'll be fine with 2/3 and a split with the Tiggers/Twins series going on now Now that we lost the opener, I think we'd all be ecstatic with 2 of 3. Ain't gonna be easy. First it's up to Danks and getting him some support.
July 12, 200817 yr QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 02:52 PM) Now that we lost the opener, I think we'd all be ecstatic with 2 of 3. Ain't gonna be easy. First it's up to Danks and getting him some support. I expected us before the roadtrip to win 4/6 so hopefully we can take the next two vs the Rangers. If so I'm a happy camper. Or at the least be in first during the all star break.

July 14, 200817 yr Saw a stat yesterday (I think it was on the Sox game) that since May 15 Sox have had the best record in baseball. Obviously an arbitrary date, but it is basically 2 months that the Sox have the best record, good stretch, especially considering the June schedule.
July 17, 200817 yr Author QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 12:14 PM) Ah, another day in first place!
