Who knows. He could be taking velocity off on purpose for more control, his walk rate really went down last season.

His WS battle with Bagwell when he was just throwing gas was epic.

go figure

I'd rather he get back to the effectively wild Jenks. It would prevent players from sitting on his offspeed pitch.

I just wish he could blow his fastball by people more often.

Oh well, not a horrible loss. As bad as the hitting was, this was the fault of Javy.

Somehow I doubt that is the reason. I have seen guys who take off velocity to get more control but they are still capable of hitting their old velocity at key points in an outing. Jenks isn't even close to coming to 100 mph. It's either ware & tare or something else...

His Ricky Vaughn moment.

Damn.

yesterday starter pitches well, pen blows it

today starter sucks, pen pitches great

it'd be nice if the entire team could click all at the same time

Ramirez hits a go ahead HR off Corpas, unf***ingbelievable.

And the Cubs take the lead....f***!

Another piss poor performance! :gosoxretro:

Nice ABs from Crede. 2 swings for lane 3 of the Dan Ryan. And your typical crede popup.

Nice game kids. Keep this up, and we will be out of first soon.

I will be glad to see the Yankmees leave town

Yeah, it was downright fun.

Wow, Sox loss and the Cubs just took the lead in the matter of seconds. Someone check on Fathom.

I'm here, thanks. At least Prince delivered tonight.

I had someone go to me at work today "guess who's great on the Cubs right now....everyone". The sad thing was it was hard for me to come up with someone. I go "well, I heard Lilly was only throwing 85 mph yesterday".

Cubs just took the lead in the 9th!

We'll see Pods bat in the 9th.

I wish that was the case for us. They are on fire right now.

it's always nice to have bragging rights such as : "yeah, our first japanese player took less money to play for us because we've been bad for so long, that we haven't really had the opportunity to win a world series with a japanese player yet, or uh... any player for that matter"

Yeah it was horrible. I'm sick of pissing away VERY winnable games. That's about 3 I can remember so far.

Cubs winning now will only be more fun later in the season when they do their inevitable crash and burn.

Yeah, it was downright fun.

Ask Texas what a horrible loss is like. I guess they were at least the away team.

That wasn't a winnable game. The score doesn't reflect how one-sided it seemed.
