Absolutely, he was one of the best players in the country the last few months of the season.

A tall guard is a nice change of pace.

Why no CDR there? I bet Rose would have loved to talk them into it, except he was probably on a plane.

If Weems can get any inconsistency, he's going to be a damn good player. Has a decent shot, terrific athlete, can get to the hoop, what more can you ask for from an NBA player? I remember him mostly for that show he put on against IU. CDR never really impressed me, so I'm glad Paxon went the route he did.

Funny you say that- CDR was 8% better, shooting percentage wise, than Weems this past year.

I thought for sure this was going to be a draft like 2004 (big Duke fan)- we take Gordon, then Deng from Duke, and then Duhon in the 2nd from Duke, except in this draft we'd go with Rose then CDR, both from Memphis.

I know exactly what the stats are, as I watch more college basketball than anyone. However, I guarantee there's not a single scout that thinks CDR is a good shooter. He had a great college career by shooting over 2 guards that he was bigger than.

I wanted the Bulls to take Walker instead of Weems, but ah well, Weems is ok for a 2nd rounder. The important part tonight is Derrick Rose, so it's a good night.

Someone should draft Randall Falker before he is gone.
