peralta hit that ball hard

94 MPH sinker right there. That pitch is unhittable.

He has him set up for a nasty hook.

C'mon Bobby; this would be a very sweet win!

Yeah, I meant cortisone.

His finger's probably numb.

Its Ova!!

Bobby yelled: YES! at the end of that one.

Nasty....very impressive win, great job bullpen and especially Alexei!

Cleveland boo birds coming out! SOX WIN!

Nice finish Bobby!

Way to finish him Bobby. Buy the pen a round tonight.

It's nice to run into a team with a worse offense than us, if that is even possible.

big 2 out hit by AJ was huge tonight....great come from behind win

I didn't follow the game. I'm thrilled we won!

17 hits??? But just six runs.

The 17 hits is very nice. Something to build on definitely for our offense.

OCAB having a pretty decent outing, getting that average up i hope.

2 G W Streak

sweep this road stand and we are right back with our best W Streak this season ... hah

Hawk keeps calling that Alexei hit a semi-butcher boy. Whats the difference between that and a true butcher boy

Alexei pulled the bat all the way back and swung. A true butcher boy is when you keep the bat in the bunting position and hit the ball with a half-swing (I think).

thanks much, was afraid that q got lost in the shuffle

I'm curious about my fellow posters opinions:

How did you all feel about tonight's plate umpire and his strike zone?

How did you feel about the strikes called on the check swings?

The entire umpiring crew was horrid. Perez threw 3 breaking balls to Quentin, all were at least 8 inches off the plate, and all 3 were called strikes. The ump behind the plate was terribly inconsistent. A few of the check swings were questionable from the CF view, but they were often right when looking at the foul line view. Seems whenever we play Cleveland we get a terrible umpiring crew.

That was one of the three worst umpired games of the season, in terms of home plate. Not only that, the home plate umpire didn't enforce the new speed up rules.
