June 24, 200817 yr As a die hard fan of bitter, sarcastic humor, I will miss Carlin. Perhaps his greatest achievement was living 71 years with a heart full of cocaine, but I digress. He will be missed, Carlin and Pryor are the first two names you can put on any great comic list IMO. Edited June 24, 200817 yr by whitesoxfan101

June 24, 200817 yr QUOTE (juddling @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 02:43 PM) In tribute to GC's passing...HBO is going to be airing all of his specials...from 1977 to this past year.... HBO tribute I was anticipating this. Time to dust off the blank VHS tapes. Here's the schedule, BTW (link wasn't working when I tried): Wednesday # 7 p.m.: “George Carlin at USC” (1977) # 8:30 p.m.: “George Carlin Again!” (1978) # 10 p.m.: “Carlin at Carnegie” (1983) # 11 p.m.: “Carlin on Campus” (1984) # Midnight: “Playin’ with Your Head” (1986) Thursday # 7 p.m.: “What Am I Doing in New Jersey?” (1988) # 8 p.m.: “Doin’ It Again” (1990) # 9 p.m.: “Jammin’ in New York” (1992) # 10 p.m.: “Back in Town” (1996) # 11:05 a.m.: “You Are All Diseased” (1999) # Midnight: “It’s Bad for Ya” (2008)
June 24, 200817 yr Author What about Complaints and Grievances? The one he did in 2001. It was originally gonna be called "I Kinda Like It When A Lot of People Die" but then 9-11 happened. I guess even George Carlin has limits. Edited June 24, 200817 yr by lostfan
June 25, 200817 yr SNL will replay its first ever episode this weekend in its normal block, which George Carlin Hosted.
June 25, 200817 yr QUOTE (juddling @ Jun 25, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) Worst Carlin-death headline seriously....that's all they could come up with?????? LOL. Whoever wrote that article obviously had no idea who George Carlin was. Not one reference to his life as a standup comedian. He probably heard his name mentioned, browsed through Carlins IMDB trivia page and then put together some bits of information. Edited June 25, 200817 yr by Flash Tizzle

June 26, 200817 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 09:50 PM) SNL will replay its first ever episode this weekend in its normal block, which George Carlin Hosted. That's awesome. It will be the best SNL episode in the past 6 years.
