It looks like that's what $16mil gets you these days. Take a look at what Paulie's splits are away from the Cell. Sure he's $4mil cheaper but he's not very good on the road either: .266 .338 .449 .787.

So Paul Konerko has better numbers, makes less, accomplished a lot more in his career yet doesn't get a shred of the hype that Young gets.
