Thornton continues to struggle. He would NOT of been the answer in the 5th.

Konerko's had a horrible year, I don't think anyone defending him has said otherwise. My belief with him is his injuries have accounted for the big dropoff. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't buy Paul Konerko being a .210 hitter. My deal with Swisher is he has been awful yet people continue to stroke him.

well personally I think its hits batting stance, he changed it in spring training, and he has sucked every since then. I realize injuries have somethign to do with it, but the guy is done. his fielding has taken a hit as well. We cannot afford him right now, and I think you will see ozzie give him one more week and then he will have a reduced role.

yes I realize his point and thank you for answering for him, but apparently you do not understand my point. therefore I will wait for fathom to answer for me.

I do but it didn't matter in the end if he made an unproductive out. Even with a s***ty at bat an out is still an out when we needed him to get on base.

He did retire Morneau, but oh well.

No, Swisher PH for him because a righty was on the mound.

Playing match-ups so early with your number 2 hitter is certainly odd. Someone make an Ozzie crack.

Its amazing... before we were the best bullpen in baseball "ever" and now they give up at least a run a game....

sorry q, I must have missed the question. What was it?

Do you think the whitesox will lose tonight?

Yup, ignore the insurance run he gave up.

He needs to go back to the leg kick for his timing mechanism. Right now, his hands are way too close to his body due to his late start. That's why he either fists stuff to the right side or rolls over on it to the left side.

There was no way they could have kept up the pace they were on. If they have to go 4 or 5 innings, you can't complain about giving up 1 run.

Absolutely, and I think they win 1 game the rest of this week.

Yes I do understand that, but its not like it was a bad at bat. He could have been Konerko and grounded into a double play on the first pitch. My point simply was he battled through 13 pitches, it was a decent at bat, although the result still sucked. we all lose.

Thome is walking very gingerly back to the dugout.

Ok so that is 1/god knows how many chances.

This game is over and we will be swept, no doubt.

Better not watch the next 2 then if there's no doubt , your poor stomach can't handle it.

Great AB, Thome.

put Wise in for PK

changing pitchers to pitch to Konerko? what a waste. he can't hit anyone.

It would have put us out of our misery quicker.
