I have been one of the only seemingly positive people around here, but 2 of 3 isn't going to work for me. It's late September, the Sox are 1st in the division, and it's a last place team. I don't care how well they have been playing. Sox decided to drop 3 of 4 in NY. Fine, but now you have to sweep KC.

It's sweep or bust.

If you would give us 2 of 3 and just move on to Monday's day off, I'd sign up for that right now. That means that at the worst, you have a 1/2 game lead going into Minnesota. At best, you'd be up 3 1/2 games.

Terrible. We have to win 3 in KC.

Edwin Jackson is a terrible match-up against the Twins.

1-0 Rays. :)

Iwamura's triple was comical. Almost the cheapest homer ever.

Yeah, Alexei's been absolutely amazing and all, but Longoria is the ROY. End of story.

Cliff Floyd has just crushed the ball in games I've watched this season (Tampa vs Sox, Cubs, Twins)

If the White Sox can't defeat Kansas City tonight after looking on the scoreboard and noticing Minnesota is losing 6-0 then something is wrong.

These are games we just can't lose. This is our chance to atleast put ground between ourselves and Twins before the series in Minneapolis.

Twins lose 11-1. Magic number is currently 8 I believe.

Great so far. Exactly how we should respond to knowledge of an ass whooping against Minnesota.

7.2 IP, 7 H, 1 ER

:)

Twinkies on the verge of losing again today. They are down 7-0 to the Rays in the 8th.

Kazmir pitched well for TB going 6 and striking out 5.

This is gonna be a fun postseason with the Rays finally making it. They're the most fun team in baseball to watch.

Soon enough the Rays will be clinching. Percival got pulled though and the Twins have a rally going. They still need 6 runs to tie though.

Twins lose. Very nice.

Rays are helping our butts out in a big way. Shame on us if we don't take advantage.

Magic number to 6, very nice.

congrats to the Rays. Nice to see them get in after all those last place teams.

BenchWarmerJim, wherever you are, are you still giving us the division? Because I'll take it still.

I literally gave up on this team during the Tampa series. 2 1/2 back with a week to go just seemed impossible, especially the way the bullpen give up bushels of runs

The whitesox and their homer only offense can invent new and amazing ways to bring the suck back.

congrats on winning a well played Game 163. I mean that was one heck of a game.

Good luck in the playoffs

Jim

Thanks Jim. :cheers

You're definitely a fine rep for your fan base.

Buh-bye, b****es.

Thanks for being a class act, Jim.

Thanks for the sportsmanship Jim. You are definately a class act.

Thanks for the kind words Jim. This really is a great rivalry, and I'm sure everybody will say you guys will suck next year, and you'll somehow win around 90 games again.
