Nice, lets get back up 2 games.

That would be sweet to lose only a half game when the Twins had KC at home and the Sox had one of the hottest teams coming in

I won't feel comfortable unless we get a 4 game lead going into Minnesota. Any loss helps and we need to take advantage of it.

I want a 4 game lead going into the HumpDome. A sweep of the Tigers and Royals and 3 of 4 from the Yankees would be nice going in...how about a little 9 of 10 stretch from here for the Sox?

By the way, how ridiculous is it that Joe Mauer is hitting .365 at home for the season?

The fact that the Twins have a 4 game series @ Tampa Bay right before our 3 game series is HUGE, IMO.

Almost as ridiculous as the fact that he's hitting under .200 against the Royals...

I'm hoping that Longoria is back and the Rays are still neck and neck with the Red Sox.

They will face Shields, Jackson, Kazmir and Sonnanstine...that's tough. Kazmir matches up extremely well against them. The Twins will have to scratch and claw for 2 wins in that series.

w00t. Big win there, now let's take advantage tonight boys.

After seeing a game up there this July, I can tell you it's not ridiculous at all. Mauer, as we all know, loves going to left center field and that area of the Metrodome is HUGE. It's great that the Twins lost today (getting back on topic), we REALLY need to get a win tonight.

I did not know that the Rays just took two huge last at-bat wins from Boston in Boston.

Yeah, they beat Pappelbon (sp?) on Tuesday and after taking a 4-1 lead in, I believe, the top of the 14th last night Percival loads the bases in the bottom with no out and they still won 4-2

Liriano gets a ND against the Royals where the final box score is 3-2

I'm sure nobody here would've believed that if they were told it would be the outcome before the game started

That's why they play the games!

Huge loss for the Twins with Liriano on the mound. The Sox really need to take advantage tonight.

fyi: Twins-O's rained out tonight. A doublehead will start Saturday. 4:05pm central is Game 1, Game 2 will follow

You do understand that if the Sox blow this thing that you will be unwanted for a few days... :P

oh yeah, I know

the Sox and Twins are having a battle of 'Who has the Crappiest Playoff-Bound Bullpen' these days

I hope we can go on a winning streak while the Twins go on a losing streak.

Ummm, duh? Sorry to be so harsh here, but really, shouldnt you always hope for that when youre battling a team for the playoffs?

Twins / Balm'er 1-1 going to bottom of 2nd. Kubel doubled in a run in the 1st w/ 2 outs and Hernandez singled in a run in the bottom of the inning after the O's had none on and two out.

Denard Span leads off top of the 3rd with homer. 2-1 Twins.

Now 3-1 Twins. Argh.

4-1 Twins going to the bottom of the 3rd after some craptastic defense by the Orioles.
