Poreda is the best bet IMO in house, if they don't make Carrasco the 5th guy. But rookies in pennant races except for some rare exceptions, usually don't work out. Broadway isn't going to help. His ERA is over 7.00 his last 10 AAA starts. Wes Whistler would be BP in the major leagues. KW might have to bite the bullet and ask Uncle JR to approve picking up $ for mediocrity like a guy like Washburn.
