with our struggling pen, i'll be happy with a series win. WE all know its important to win that first one! We did it vs Detroit and Boston now lets start things off good vs KC. 2 out of 3 works for me. Now if and when Linebrink comes back strong, thats when we can start talking about extended winning streaks. Until then it would be nice if Thorton would stop letting those inherited runners from scoring. Unfortantley after Jenks and Dotel he is our next best option now that Carassco is our 5th starter.

Mussina is something like 20-2 against the Twins with a low 2/high 1 ERA. So that means the Twins will win anyway tonight. We better rip the Royals a new one.

I doubt Griffey Jr. has ever played LF. On the bright side, at least we have a strikeout pitcher to hopefully prevent too many outfield plays that need to be made.

Q deserves a day off. We don't have an off day til next Thursday. Bannister has been brutal so maybe we can get a W without TCQ.
