I guess that's good that to only allow 1 run.

The fact that he allowed the run sucked, but the fact that he got out of the jam without allowing another run was good.

He's one pitcher you have to say screw the pitch count when you face him. As Hawk is saying, our approach is all wrong against him. You have to be aggressive and hit those pitches that he throws to get ahead in the count.

we're gonna have to get more than 42 pitches in 3 innings against Lee. 14 per inning isn't terrible, but we need more to get rid of him.

Clayton is such a mental midget out there.

What a dumbass

wow he completely f***ing shanked that throw

Clayton Richard must have been an awful QB at Michigan.

You gotta make that play Clayton.

Our strategy against pitchers at times is horses***. We get a rookie making his major league debut and he is wild. So what is our strategy, swing early in the count. Now we have a guy who pours strikes, with a lot of fastballs early in the count. And what do we do, we take 2. This is dumb.

yikes...clayton is just horrible fielding....its all mental too, he just needs to get out there and practice that to the point where he can gain confidence and get over that problem

Any chance it can rain?

Hawkaroo is tearing into Richard right now.... "How do you play Qb at Michigan if you can't make that throw" Dadgumit

In reality, the Sox should pound Lee. He throws high 91 mph fastballs for the most part. So far tonight, the Sox have taken about 5 get me over fastballs that were right there to be crushed. Of course, it would be nice if we'd stop playing Swisher and Crede against LHP.

clayton really getting squeezed it seems like

He could probably start there right now, as bad as Michigan's situation is.

This umpire is f***ing terrible.

What can Wedge be yelling at the home ump about with the outside corner Lee is getting to righties?

Holy s*** OC, that was filthy.

I heart OC

I agree with the sentiments of your argument, but Lee isn't 19-2 because he just gets ahead in counts... the guy has great control and some real sick off-speed stuff.

Swisher hitting below .200 against lefties, yikes

I'm sick of the people asking for Swish higher in the lineup. I want him OUT of the lineup.

Which means against righties he's not too much better.

Still has a .753 OPS vs them compared to .768 overall, so its not that much worse, the batting average sucks still....

OPS is a vastly overrated statistic. Swisher's slugging doesn't mean s*** when he never hits. I also think his high OBP may be the reason he doesn't hit.
