Freddy's the best. Didn't always bring the A-game (sometimes left it out the night before, I think) -- but when the chips were down, there wasn't anyone better.

Even though he was only with us for a while it feels weird seeming him in another uni. He meant so much to our 05 team. Wish him the best of luck except vs next year...

top of the 9th coming up (on gameday at least!) 6-4 Tribe

1 out

2 down, one more to go

QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 10:47 PM)
1 out

2 down...my guy jensen has been nails this entire series

Wow, no bats for us and no bullpen tonight again.

Wonder if Oz should have used the Thornton, Jenks combo again. They are the only two usable relievers. We might regret not taking advantage of the Twinks' slump when their fans are going nuts soon against us in the Humptydome.

WIthout reading the thread, who got all the blame tonight?

I didn't read it either, but my guess would be Swisher, even though he didn't play

This is such an ass backwards fall into a division title. I will take it if it happens, hwoever. WWWOOO

Tribe wins, magic number at 9. Thank you Cle

Great job by Jensen Lewis this series. Please play with some balls Tampa, and win 3 of 4!

I think they're only 2 up on Boston, so they have everything to play for

Yeah, me too. We're pretty much doing the expected every night. 2-2 in this series is about the best anybody with common sense would have hoped for us. 1-3 will be sad no matter what the Twinks do. If the Twins do wind up sweeping us at the s***dome and we don't win it, we certainly have nobody to blame but ourselves (and injuries if you want to go that route).

The Twins have been so bad though. Their pen has been worse than ours, somehow. At least the back end of it.

I think Ozzie.

He let Richard pitch to Nady with two outs and runner on second and Nady kills lefties, was his third time against Richard. If you bring in McDougal there, it's a better match up. Three outs, then Thornton to face Cano / I-Rod / Melky in the 8th...Jenks in the 9th.

I think the 1-0 lead could have held had he pulled Richard.

It's crazy when you think how we're an 89 win team potentially..... and that 06 season we finished third with more wins... in a way better division that had the World Series entrant as a wild card, not even the division winner.

also crazy how down we were on that team and how hopeful we are for this one. Nonetheless it's that we're living in the moment and i'll keep doing so.

See what would happen if you took Morneau from them like we got CQ taken from us. Its a major reason our offense sucks right now.

we win when we lose? nice. doesnt it seem like we REALLY have to earn every second of winning?

Ozzie should have never brought MacDougal in with a guy on 3rd base.

even with that pitch though, Mac seems less wild than before. On the Score today they were talking about how his head no longer flails about trying to hit 95, and he now throws lower 90s perhaps w/ more control. albeit a small sample size so far. busted Ivan in pretty nicely at least.

i mean, today what he threw shouldve been caught by AJ. If it's not Mac's history of wildness, if it's thrown by someone else, we dont think of that particular pitch as being so abysmal.

MacDougal is a joke, a big, tall joke. If we don't win the division, please send all former KC Royals packing. Get rid of all of them PLEASE.
