As dumb as this sounds if the Sox don't need to win tomorrow I'd like to see Richard pitch. No real reason why, I just would.

I think it's been said Danks tomorrow and Gavin Tuesday.

Gavin is definitely going tomorrow

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:41 PM)
Danks on two days rest? I sure hope not.

I must be mistaken. my bad. So, Gavin tomorrow against Detroit.. that makes sense.. he pretty much owns the Tigers.

I give ARam permission to get a hit. Even a home run.

Oh man, I was wrong. I'd still rather BA against a LHP than Griffey, any day of the week.

Cause he kilt the ball the first two days.

I've got to hand it to you, that does sound pretty dumb.

Morneau is 3/21 since the start of the most important series of the year for the Twins.

MVP! MVP!

why wouldn't we need to win tomorrow?

Alexei is useless right now.

If we win today, tomorrow, and tuesday, i'd seriously consider him starting game one of the playoffs.

I heard the opposite on the radio.

And your right. Floyd on Monday and Danks on Tuesday

does it scare anyone else that our playoff hope will be solely in the hands of Danks? don't get me wrong, he's been great for us this year, but such a young kid? and he had a bad outting last time out, his confidence might not be there. I still think hes better than Javy 'big-game-no-show' Vasquez imo

wow.

Well, cmon pitching....

Thats shows my feelings toward Vazquez these days.

No matter the situation, I can't concoct a scenario where I think the Sox don't need to win. If they get to play at all, the best case is not having to play the Twins Tuesday. I guess if you say "they're not eliminated if they don't win..." But still.

i know the team is living on hopes and dreams right now anyway.. but.. why toy with it even more?

thats pretty bold, but does have some startegy to it. teams probably won't have a good scouting report on him, and if he comes to pitch, who knows what could happen

It scares me a lot more that we're only up 2 runs in the 7th inning.

Because they could play tomorrow and not have to win to play Tuesday and the way the brillant 3 day rest thing is going I'd rather have a fully rested pitcher going Tuesday then to rely on the atroucious bullpen both days.

Oh and the best game pitched in the last week and a half was by Richard.

I have more confidence in Richard giving us a better chance to win than Vazquez.

Might as well start Vazquez and have Richard ready for the 5th or 6th inning.

you can't expect much more from duckworth....only allowing 2 runs through 5 on 2 hits

oh well....the sox have to win anyways....F what the twins are doing.

Gotta line Javy up as game 2.. not a win-or-go-home game and not lining him up to pitch game 5.

It does sound dumb, because there is no scenario where the Sox don't need to win tomorrow.

technically, it isn't a must-win tomorrow, as if the Twins lose and we win today, we're up by a half game

we lose tomorrow, division would end in a tie, resulting in the tiebreaker game

this is all technically speaking of course
