September 28, 200817 yr Seriously Freddy Garcia is going to be on a mission to prove to Ozzie that hes still got what it takes and he's also gonna prove to the Tigers entire organization that he's worth resigning. Sox must be in top form tomorrow.
September 28, 200817 yr the sox can't lay down and just expect to win. they need to go out there with the same mindset as they did today.
September 28, 200817 yr QUOTE (WinningUgly85 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 04:38 PM) Seriously Freddy Garcia is going to be on a mission to prove to Ozzie that hes still got what it takes and he's also gonna prove to the Tigers entire organization that he's worth resigning. Sox must be in top form tomorrow. None of that will make him throw harder. Be patient, stay back, use the opposite field, and Freddy will give up some runs. Floyd HAS to step up.
September 28, 200817 yr Ol' 82 mph Freddy will be in "full force" tomorrow afternoon, pitching batting practice to us.
September 28, 200817 yr Keep in mind, Freddy pitched against TEX, IN TEXAS and only gave up 2 hits, 1 unearned run, and only had 59 pitches in 5 innings, obviously the Tigers were just pitching him in a short game I think he could have the stuff to be successful tomorrow, but our offense needs to step up and make something out of whatever he has left in the tank
September 28, 200817 yr If anyone gets on first against Freddy, they'd better be stealing second. I had to watch that s*** for HOW LONG when he was with the Sox, I better get to enjoy that sight now.
September 28, 200817 yr GO WHITE SOX!!! Gotta love it, we are still in it. I hated the thought our season was over. Thanks KC!!! SO, you know, I'm really feelin pretty good we are throwin Floyd against the Tigers. Kid has balls and loves to kick the S out of the Ts
September 28, 200817 yr Under the living room table in Ozzie Guillen's house, the Sox should offer Freddy a guaranteed two year deal if he lays down tomorrow.
September 28, 200817 yr I'm nervous about how Gavin will perform tomorrow. Biggest game of his young career = our season. Edited September 28, 200817 yr by IrishSoxFan
September 28, 200817 yr Sadly, the Sox know the scouting report against Freddy better than we do. And he's going to want to shut us down tomorrow since he's pitching for a contract. Don't underestimate Big Game Fred.
September 28, 200817 yr We need to get Freddy's pitch count up high very quickly, I fear he could settle in a groove tomorrow.
September 28, 200817 yr Freddy is related to Ozzie, he lays down tomorrow and gives up 7 runs in 2 IP. /green. Edited September 28, 200817 yr by tommy
September 28, 200817 yr This is it, we must win. I sure don't want Freddy Garcia to comeback and haunt us. We have our best starter going tomorrow. :gosox1: :gosox1:
September 28, 200817 yr Sox need to treat it like a playoff game which is an obvious statement. It would be the ultimate irony, Freddie beating Sox and Ozzie after his excellence in 05. If Jimmy and Griffey truly want to play in another postseason, then they might consider blasting a couple homers. Some of our righty hitters are gonna have to come through. Hope he doesn't play Wise just cause he's a lefty. Man, the game is at the Cell .... just please get it done, Sox. -- Will any fans be there? What's the ticket policy on tomorrow and heaven help us, if we win, what's the ticket policy on tuesday's action? How the heck do they sell tix on such short notice IF we win? For Tuesday if you are a full season ticket holder and bought playoff tickets you already have a ticket. Not sure about partial season ticket holders. Edited September 28, 200817 yr by whtsox13
September 29, 200817 yr For Tuesday if you are a full season ticket holder and bought playoff tickets you already have a ticket. Not sure about partial season ticket holders. Interesting. They cover all bases (pun intended) and put in a one-game playoff in the ticket package? Wow.
September 29, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 03:47 PM) What time and channel? Same bat time, same bat channel. Everyone knows Freddy sucks pitching big games on the road and during the day.
September 29, 200817 yr QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 06:11 PM) Why wouldn't they? You bought the full season, plus playoff tickets. It's a playoff game, isn't it? Technically no, its not a playoff game. Its considered the 163rd game of the regular season. All stats count towards regular season statistics.
September 29, 200817 yr Why wouldn't they? You bought the full season, plus playoff tickets. It's a playoff game, isn't it? My point is why would they even think of throwing in tix for a POSSIBLE playoff.
September 29, 200817 yr Yep. p.s. Tony why don't you consider put a pic of a hot chick in your photo box in place of the dude?
September 29, 200817 yr QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 07:11 PM) Why wouldn't they? You bought the full season, plus playoff tickets. It's a playoff game, isn't it? We haven't paid for it yet. Once they know it will be played they will bill us.
